Got tired of using jack stand so got a Quickjack

Got mine put together and tested today. One issue was one of the air cylinders did not accept air. I had to remove the schrader valve core, lube and exercise it and put it back in and air problem was fixed. UPS hauled away the 220V unit today as well.

After buying and assembling a month back I am using it for the first time. Putting track pads on the M2 prior to my road trip to Road Atlanta. Trying out PFC08s for the first time (been running Carbotechs before). Too long a road trip to take the GT4. Anyhow works great.

OT but have you tried the PFC11s? For short tracks or short sessions I like them for the good initial bite. Let us know how the PFC08 work on track.

For those of you on the fence and costco members (like me), they are an extra $100 off right now. $999 + tax (if applicable) shipped to your door

If you are considering one of these, I highly recommend trying to pick it up yourself at Costco or somewhere else. Shipping this beast is expensive and 2 out of my 3 boxes that arrived looked like they had been through an industrial shredder. Box 2 of 3 was so bad that I returned it. Guess what I got in return? I got Box 1 of 3 (again!) so then I had to ship that one back and wait for the right box. What a hassle. I didn't pay any shipping and ECS actually gave me a discount, so it all worked out in the end.
However, I have a variety of cars that I'm trying to get it to work with (in my sig)...and found out that the jack points on my Audi Q7 are too far apart (even with the 7000 model) and I thought I might need the extension for another $200.
But then I found this thread on their site. Seems that they recommend trying to place these horizontally if you can't get them to fit on the rails or jackpoints down the sides.

I got it working on my Q7 with a horizontal mount setup. Great versatility with this thing!

Have the BL-5000 for over 3 years now.. Love it on the SQ5 and C63 when I need to get under them.. However, on the GT4, it was much easier to get all 4 wheels off the ground with lift bars as the BL-5000 is pretty heavy to move around..

What kind of lift bars do you use? The ones that go into the both lift points on each side and use a jack at the center? Where do you place the jackstands?

I got the lift bars from a 981 owner here on RL.. They are made by www.liftbars.com The ends on the bars are notch for jack stands making it easy and safe.
This is definitely easier to setup than a Quickjack, but if you need to lift and lower the car several times or different heights then the Quickjack is a better option.

I ordered the QJ truck/suv adapter kit for my F150 on 12/29 and just received it a couple days go. It was backordered even on QuickJack's web site. The box was a lot heavier than expected.

I have no experience with a QuickJack. But for not much more money you can have a Bend-Pak scissor lift. I ordered one about 5 yrs ago....it works flawlessly and the service has been stellar. If and when I order another lift, I will consider nothing but another Bend-Pak. No affiliation, no compensation, blah blah blah. Just someone really, really happy with what they got for what they paid...

If you have the space and can leave it on the garage floor all the time this is definitely the way to go...I have even seen some installations in which the BenPak was recessed into the garage floor, very nice. But if the previous are not possible the QuickJack lets you take it out of the way and store it.....this is a plus with my wife. You can also take it with you to the track if you want or loan it to friends.
