I have owned my GT for coming on two years now and have just let her go. Wanted to try something a little more exciting out but am starting to get buyers remorse. Curious to see how others have felt after they have gotten rid of their GT4. Do you still miss it, wish you didn't get rid of it, or are happy with the move? What did you get to replace it?

I had mine for a year and got rid of it to save a little money to build a new house. I actually don't miss it at all. It helps that I have a GT3 RS. The GT4 was my main track car. It was great and the manual transmission was fun. Much faster than its HP on paper. However, like every Cayman I've had (S, R, GT4) I reached a plateau at the track and it became boring and kinda numb. I never get out of a 911 GT3 or RS and think I've mastered it. Never. The GT4 was too easy to drive. I'm sure with some more instruction and practice I would have had a little more to extract, but not enough to make me keep it. My wife misses it though. Great car. Can't wait to see the next generation.

I dont miss my GT4 much, especially given my history with the platform for those that are familiar...

I got what I wanted from the car, but ultimately, Its a car and there are plenty of other cool ones out there to experience.

Who knows, I may end up in another one at some point down the line.

I think I'd only get rid of the GT4 for either a GT4 RS/ GT3 manual. It's just too much fun for what it is.

My GTS has been getting lots of miles in running around town in the sunny weather. But when it's an extra special day, I hop in the GT4. The sounds, the manual tranny, and the seats (carbon buckets ftw) create a unique experience.

But does the car miss you? Maybe her new man is treating her better

Just wanted to try something new out. I have always wanted a Ferrari as a kid and figured now is as good a time as any for me to try one out. I am of course having second thoughts as I do love the car I just think it overlaps my s2000 to much, especially since I very rarely get to the track. The GT4 RS is my next car in two years, or whenever it comes out, so this F car will only be here for a year or so.

I had a GT4 that I spec'd (Car. White, LWB, PCCB) and sold it about a year ago. I bought a UV 991 RS that I drove periodically on the weekends (no track days). I went to the Porsche Sport Driving School and really loved driving on the track. When I got back, I joined a local track and ditched the 991 RS (mainly because I wanted a manual) and got a 997.2 RS (car. white/red stickers/wheels/etc).

This week, I replaced my old GT4 (should be here next week). I bought a PTS car from a fellow RL'r with steel brakes and LWBs.

I never really tracked my GT4 when I had it (I only drove it a few hundred miles). Replacement GT4 will mostly be a track car. The GT4 has less power than the RS, but it was a heck of a lot of fun. I'm not good enough to drive the 991 RS (or 997.2 RS) at the limit at the track. The GT4 is just my speed.

I have a November build for a manual GT3 and will likely trade 997.2 RS in at that point and keep the GT4. Hope to get a bunch of track time under my belt before then.

I liked mine but didn't love it. GT3 is more fun on the track IMHO.

I wouldn't worry about remorse if one were upgrading.
