Default March PCA DE/Race at CoTA

The Black Sheep Racing crew from NorCal is coming to Texas! We'll be racing and lapping during the PCA event at Circuit of the Americas. Hoping to meet some fellow Rennlisters and experience that famous southern hospitality!

Very good, my schedule is shaping up nicely and I plan to be in attendance fresh off the plane from Mexico City.

I'll bring mezcal.

This is exactly why I wasn't willing to go to COTA in Feb/March. I have no interest in tracking in the rain. I might go out there in April/May.

Yes, wettest months in Austin are early spring... except for the intense sweating that occurs in August.

FYI, there are 2 more PCA events at CotA that may or may not be advertised yet - May 19-21 and Nov 17-19. PCA is cheaper than other groups, and runs a tight ship.

Additionally, there are Edge Addicts, Chin and others on a fairly regular basis.

My handy-dandy excel spreadsheet currently shows:

Apr 1-2 - Chin
May 19-21: PCA
June 10-11: Edge
Aug 26-27: Chin (only if you and your car are gluttons for punishment)
Sept 30-1: Edge
Nov 17-19: PCA
Dec 16-17: Edge

And if you are coming for CotA, definitely strongly consider track time at Texas World Speedway - it's an amazing track and well worth the effort. CotA is a bucket list item, but TWS is fun, challenging, demanding and rewarding on a whole new level, like the Sebring of Texas. There's an Apr 14-15: PCA @ TWS.

From a $ perspective; but when you figure track time vs $ spend I'm not so sure anymore.

I've also tracked in 110 heat in July 4 years ago....never again....I rather track in the rain and why I take the summers off. Speed Ventures is going out to COTA at the end of April but I got Spring Mountain then.

I can't argue with Spring Mountain - I rather enjoy that track a lot.

Keep a close eye on the weather as it changes every five minutes here in Texas. Cool temps will be the norm and partly cloudy Friday through Sunday with a 30& chance of rain on Saturday only. Hopefully the weather will improve even more.
