I find myself shifting to 4th right around hitting the second apex of the carousel at T18 while tracking out to the left... around 100 mph.

But Shake is likely carrying more speed on those Hoosiers.

John, where does the speedometer pick up its signal from? If i remember right on old 911s it used to be off the ring gear?

GT4 gets the data from the wheel speed sensors. You're correct, back in the day you change the final drive it throws the speedo off. I went from a 3.42 to a 3.89 on my '98 Z28 and was off by 7mph. Not the case on the GT4, realistically only the OD of the tires would throw the speedometer off
