Default New! Forgeline VX1R Competition Wheel debuted at SEMA

We had the good fortune to see the fantastic new Forgeline VX1R motorsport wheel that Forgeline unveiled at SEMA this week (we took the first photo below)! It looks awesome; if you like the look of Forgeline's popular VX1 but need a load rating suitable for dedicated track duty, then the VX1R was engineered for you! The VX1R is a fully track-ready competition wheel equal in weight and strength to the famous GA1R and GS1R Competition Series wheels.

The VX1R features a sharp Y-spoke design with sharp angles, a deep concave profile, and a chamfered outer edge. It's a fully-forged one-piece monoblock wheel, technologically similar to the very successful GA1R wheel. The VX1R is engineered to allow plenty of room for caliper clearance and extreme brake fitment. And the one-piece monoblock forging and computer-simulated FEA design process yield a wheel that is lightweight, stiff, and has excellent fatigue strength.

The VX1R is machined from a single forging of 6061-T6 aluminum. It's currently available in 18, 19, 20, and 21-inch diameters with a range of widths and offsets. It can be made to accommodate most five-lug and centerlock applications. And just like any Forgeline wheel, the VX1R is available with fully customizable finish options.

Drop us a PM or give us a call to discuss getting a set made to suit your needs!

What's the relative weight to the exact same GS1R size?

Same weight as GA1R and about a 1/2 pound heavier than the GS1R.

Perhaps you have confused this new wheel with the old VX1. From Forgeline's website and from discussions with them at SEMA this week:

"If you like the look of our popular VX1 but need a load rating that is suitable for dedicated track duty, then the VX1R was engineered for you! The VX1R is a full track-ready competition wheel equal in weight and strength to our famous GA1R and GS1R Competition Series wheels."

The "R" suffix in Forgeline's wheel nomenclature typically denotes their wheels engineered for the rigors of track and competition use.
