In my world of tournament sport fishing, it is called Video Verification. First, a captain must sign on his honor that he did in fact release "x" number of marlin, and then video is used to verify it did occur.

First step in on your honor, then verification. It works and our Rennlist gang will decide if the evidence is good enough.

This is not me and I don't know the driver, but I was at Cal Speed @ Festival of Speed in April and noted some pretty quick times on the sheet for a stock GT4 - 1.48.78 - this is a very good time for a stock car! I used to run 44's and 45's in my 996 Cup here and this was about where 996 Cups were that weekend as well. So down 4 seconds to a Cup car that weighs 2,500 lbs. and is on slicks, is pretty impressive!

Can we get a few TWS times? I'm 2:02.3 & no one wants to see that video but I was curious what the car is capable of at that track.

Here are two good TWS benchmarks:

1) Pro coach - 1:51:92

A pro coach did three laps in my GT4 with alignment and relatively fresh oem cup 2's on slightly damp track with some standing water left at an apex or two. Did a 1:51:92. (measured with vbox sport integrated with Harry's for video) I think that's a good benchmark of what the car is capable of on oem tires out there in very capable hands. I guess with a dryer track and some more time he could have gone faster.



2) ShakeNBake - 1:48:XX

I know Shake has dipped into the 1:48's there, albeit on hoosiers and has posted video on here. If I try and do that I'll fly off the track so far, it'll take them until Wed when they come mow the grass to find me...

I concluded mid 1:50's there is plenty fast for "normal" folks on oem tires...

I do have a question about COTA. Does anyone have verifiable proof of folks going sub 2:30 on a street tire setup (cup2's, re71r's, dunlop etc)?

I did 1:56.66 (AIM Solo) at TWS first time out in the GT4 at a private track day so no traffic. Car is all stock, on MPSC2 with max camber with stock parts (no shims) at about -1.5deg front and -1.4deg rear. At PDS this past weekend best was 1:57.32. I've driven TWS a lot but just an average driver. Car has more in it for sure.
