pfc11 vs pagid yellow pads
I am done with OEM pads so am looking to chose between these. most seem to run PFC11 but was wondering if someone tested or compared them with the yellows
how do they compare for track?
bite?
rotor wear?
pad wear?
(I have black wheels so I don't care about dust)
which one is better streetable?

I have about 4 days on yellows and have noticed some fade. Initial bit was great at first but decreasing. I think I may have 2 more days on the pads.
Will be looking to try different pads in future.

For my 964 - I prefer the 01 over the 11 but the 11 over yellows (29s or 19s).
All are fairly smooth (not too bitey which I like to help stay out of my ancient abs) at application but the 01/11s have much more braking power in the middle although I think the yellows do a slightly better job at release. 01s are/were smooth then very quickly the hand of God braking is there (!) and then trails off decently. IMO yellows don't have that power in the middle the PFCs do. Also although PFCs lose some effectiveness as the pad is used up, pagids more so.
PFCs are harder on rotors but my 964 rotors are only $99/ea or something like that. Pads- I get 2 weekends out of fronts and 4-5 rears. Rotor life is approx double that, maybe a bit more.
Any race pad will be squeeky and less effective when cold.
If you want bite then I would try the pagid blacks, 14s IIRC.
That said, I think lots of pro teams still use yellows and many have. Also, my brakes are relatively small so I need more braking power. When I had big brakes in 2012 I actually moved from 01s back to yellows - probably just needed to get used to the increased braking but only had those brakes for a few events.
all IMO/ymmv

Holy crap. What tracks are you guys doing? I've been tracking my GT4 for 11 months now. At least 1-2 weekends a month. I do/did MSR-Cresson, COTA, and National Corvette Museum track. I've changed front pads ONCE (OEM). Still on OEM original rears.
The OEM pads are pagids and work great. I've also had great experience with PFC on other cars.
And no, I'm not slow. Lol!

I did Watkins Glen this week; 2 days; 5 sessions/day of 42 minutes each....
that did them in mostly
the other 3 events were ~7days at NJMP Thunderbolt

Holy cow! That's a lot of session time (5 sessions/day of 42 minutes each). That's like endurance DE! What organization? Trackmasters?
I echo a lot of the comments above. I haven't run both Pagids and PFCs on the GT4, but I went through several sets of Pagid RS29s on my E90 M3 (StopTech BBK), and then on my 991 Carrera S, and now I'm using PFC11s on the GT4.
The Pagids were noisier on the street. The Pagids (RS29s) are also thicker/more material when new than the PFCs, but my PFCs on the GT4 seem to be lasting longer than the Pagids on the 991. Not exactly apples-apples comparison, but I'm still surprised that the PFCs seem to be wearing so well. On the 991 I was running GiroDisc rotors, and on the GT4 I'm using AP Racing J-hook rotors.
One thing to be aware of: when I drove the car for the first time with the brand-new AP rotors and PFC pads mounted, it had almost zero stopping power for the first 50 miles or so. Scary, there's-something-wrong-here bad. I know new pads need burnishing/bedding, but I'd never experienced anything like this before. Not with the StopTechs and Pagids or GiroDiscs and Pagids. And then they were great...

I've never run Pagids but ran PFC for 6 years on my 987.1. I usually used 06 and its replacement 08. My last set was 11. I didn't car for the release and wasn't happy with the wear but it is a softer pad then 08. I decided to try Ferodo DS1.11 on the GT4 and so far am pleased. Photos are after 6 days at WGI and 1 day at Lightning. There's 8+ mm still left on the fronts and 10+ mm on the rears.

If you want more bite than the Pagid RS29, the new RSL1 compound will be the ticket.

Track: Our clients with the PFC11 have been enjoying them a bit more on track due to great initial bite and longer consistency in performance. It seems to offer more confidence in stopping power. Both are really options however!
Bite: The PFC11 certainly has higher initial bite than the Pagid RS29. It doesn't have quite the same bite as it's predecessor, the PFC 01, which we miss a ton!
Rotor wear: The Pagid is a touch easier on rotors than the PFC11 is.
Pad wear: We've had varying feedback from clients around the country. There are lot of variables such as driving style, track usage, street miles, temperatures that have skewed pad wear results a bit.
Street: The PFC11 has proven to be a touch more street friendly. Both are track pads, so they'll make it known on the street that you mean business,
Alternative option: The Race Technologies RE10 has been a hit amidst 981 GT4 and 991 GT3 clients. From our many BMW M and Porsche clients, it has been all around the top performing track pad in a multitude of avenues.
Fortunately, you're considering a few of the top brands in the industry, so you can't go wrong. Ultimately, it comes down to what works best for you.

Ferodo DS1.11 is currently the preferred Porsche pad. All that have switched from Pagid or PFC do not go back...they reorder Ferodo. Excellent modulation and release runs cool on rotors, long lasting.
Front pads for the 987 are http://www.apexperformance.net/FRP-3...111_p_104.html, rears are http://www.apexperformance.net/FCP-1....html(rennlist Promo Code works)
Ortho Joe and numerous other customers are runniog Ferodo and loving it.
