SCDA puts on a great event
Another thumbs up to the crew at SCDA (Sports Car Driving Association), a fantastic family-run trackday organization based out of Connecticut. We all miss founder Ian Prout. Elivan Goulart and his wife, and Ian's family have continued the business after Ian's untimely death, and they're doing a fantastic job. And Elivan is managing this in the middle of a busy Pirelli World Challenge season, in which he's leading the TCA class!
Just did another event with them at Lime Rock yesterday, and it was a fun time. As usual, a great mix of cars, from Porsches and the usual Z06s and Z/28s to E36, E92 and F8X M3s, Spec Miatas, a vintage Ferrari and Aston, a custom tube-frame '60s Pontiac GTO racer, a retired stock car, and even an ex-Le Mans Saleen S7R! (Talk about bringing a gun to a knife fight...
