New GT4 Clubsport MR - "Option 4-layer tear-off protection foil"
Looks like the GT4 Clubsport has now gone to the next level with Manthey Racing launching a GT4 Clubsport MR Edition.

Noticed that from their "options" list they are selling a 4-layer tear-off protection foil.
Has anyone had any experience with tear off films on their GT4? Just looking at options as already had a crack on one windscreen due to a small rock......

Interesting. I thought they were getting a power bump as well. How is this going to keep up with a Mclaren in GT4?

Takes a little getting used to. But it saves your glass.

You need more than that in order to fit them on the front - CS has cup suspension AFAIK. The front wheels are 28 offset which wouldn't fit in the front of a regular GT4.

All my emails to Deman bounce and from what I can see the wheel gap is too small anyway. Looks to me those wheels are not ideal and TCIII may well be better...
Its too difficuilt to be the first adopter outside the USA.
Someone do it, prove it and I'll do it.

I've heard very mixed feedback from several racers and a couple pros on the PFC / Brembo brakes. (not just clubsport but Cup). There is a story why PFC are on these cars... not that i would notice myself!
FWIW I think RSR still uses the Brembo forged race calipers.
What's your take on them?

They are strong enough to put you through the windsheild.
First thing i noticed with the car is how deep you can take it into a corner.
Alot of people have to get used to how deep you can take these cars.
The lifespan is also amazing.
I have completed approx 25 track days (15 of them race) and i am only on my second set of rear rotors and just installed my 3rd set of front rotors for the last race.
Pads last forever as well.
Not a bad way to conserve consumables compared to the 987 race cars running 997 GT3 callipers.
The ABS dial is also super handy.
It is not super fancy like a full blown race car but it works very well.
You dail up for colder/wetter and dial down for hotter/dryer temps.
The magic setting is #3. During a race if i hit into the ABS as the tires and track get hot i dial it down to #2 and then hit the same braking zone without getting into the ABS. Like magic
The Clubsport comes with two brake options:
option 1 has the 70L fuel cell and a large brake booster off the street GT2.
Coming from a 997GT3RS D.E car, i enjoy this setup as i am used to it.
Option 2 has the 100L carbon fiber fuel cell and the dual master cylinder set up.
The result is a stiffer pedal and more like a proper race car.
Seasoned racers would probably rather this.
This is where mixed brake reviews are probably coming in...

We looked at this when we first got our hands on the Clubsport back in April at Road Atlanta.
It would be about a $10k swap, but you would get to run 18" wheels and look like a factory clubsport at the same time
If we start to see GT4 street cars creeping into PCA club racing, this would be the route to go.
