Default Fabspeed GT4 Wing Risers Now Available!

I recently had a GT4 client and fellow Rennlister drop off for an install, and during it's stay he requested we improve on the OEM wing risers...Brilliant Idea!!!

While the factory wing placement looks good, some consider it to be rather impeding when checking the rear view mirror on the street and track. Some would also say it isn't as aggressive looking and/or as functional for rear downforce compared to the 911 GT3/RS. We took to the task and our engineers developed a solution which lifts the wing in the field of view by 5 inches over factory, and also increases the angle of attack by 3 degrees to help enhance rear down force. Better visibility, more aggressive look, enhanced downforce, and a reasonable price of $495 for a set

These risers are manufactured from aircraft grade 6061-T6 aluminum to be strong yet lightweight, with a design that mimics the factory risers. They are precision cut on our water jet, bolt holes are chamfered, edges are smoothed in our tumbler, and are finished off with a matte black powdercoated finish. With the chamfered bolt holes and included OEM Porsche hardware, installation takes minutes and has a quality, factory appearance.

For any inquiries give me a call at 215 646 4945 (just ask for John Gaydos), shoot me an email at john.gaydos@fabspeed.com, or feel free to PM me as well.

Those of you checking out on our website, be sure to put John G. as your representative and your order will come across my desk to follow through to completion

Looks like a nice product John, but not my cup o' tea. I like the stock wing location. BTW, your Cayman looks really sharp in your signature photo. Nice color and trim combo.

Off-topic, sorry, but where did the black 3.8 stickers come from on the white car?

Thanks for the compliment It isn't going to be for everyone but neither are exhaust upgrades, intakes or ECU tunes haha.

I appreciate the kinds words on my CR, it is a fantastic car and I was searching for the color combo from the start haha. Although just recently noticed after the last few months that the decal doesn't continue onto the front bumper like it's supposed to...

Hi John,

QQ on visibility. You mention it was improved vs stock - is that to imply that the wing completely out of the way when you look through the rear view mirror? Perhaps if you can snap a photo of what the vantage point looks like (granted it will somewhat vary from person to person based on body height and seat adjustment, but would help to get a visual). TIA

I don't have a picture from inside the car as it has left the shop, but here is one dead on from the rear. You can see it is near perfectly clear.

Thx John, that's helpful.

My main issue with the stock positioning is that at night (I don't have auto-dimming so manually flip the mirror) when cars drive up very close behind me their headlights get fully obscured by the wing. Good for glare, but bad for awareness. Seems this would alleviate that issue.

No problem, and I would tend to agree that this would logically remedy that issue for you

Do you really want to add rear down force on a car that most are trying to tune out understeer?
Dont you have to balance with increasing front down-force?
just asking?

How come the double decker design? Are the boot mounts painful to take off? A single piece solution would look a lot cleaner.

I applaud the effort but I have to agree . A one piece design would look more substantial and less erector setish . Just my opinion sorry.
