if they fix it all of the pro cars will be putting wheels off there, this keeps them on track. maybe a little less curb banging is in order or knowing where it is ok to curb bang

They are low. Years ago on my 987S they were 26 Ft.lbs. when I did a strut tower brace.

Yup just found Schnell's install guide for their strut bar and that did say 24lbs for a normal 981 so it's gotta be close.

Do it in 2 steps, too. So, torque to 12 ft.lbs all bolts, then reset the wrench, and re-torqu to 24 ft.lbs.

The CS has bracing structure that the GT4 doesn't have, but there's some benefit.

Please explain where you see a benefit to the regular GT4. You have limited (no existing) attach points and all those cracks happen below that "so called" reinforcement.

+1

As much as I'd like extra support, it would have to have a rigid and inflexible contact patch intimately and fully covering the whole upper face of the aluminum casting.

really what they should have is a stamped steel insert inside the strut tower with a flange at the bottom around the circumference. that way all the stress of impact would be transferred to the body not the cast aluminum tower . carl

I won't claim benefit or no benefit, however, many cars have a piece of steel that sits on top of the strut tower and under the nuts. There is no support or bracing attached to this piece. There must be a reason for it. For example:
