This was all meant to be tongue and cheek... Look what we are up against - Porsche has given us such as well 'modded' car from the factory that we're left to tinker with good.

As far as the weight, again comment was made to be humorous more than anything. But to your point about the jeans, at least those are towards the bottom of the car and don't disrupt center of gravity, risers sit high.

These are 100% cosmetic and everyone knows it, but good on any company making parts for the gt4

Here is my 2 cents worth thinking. GT4 has 385 HP. As is, the car is very well balanced and so hard to make the rear come loose. Understeer in turns is really the only problem with this car on the track. Even if we concede (not yet proven from everything I have read in this thread) that the higher riser will give more downforce, the front end will then become lighter (hence perhaps more understeer in turns) and harder (than the OEM wing) to reach higher speeds quickly (due to alleged higher downforce on the rear) with the 385 HP motor. Again my 2 cents worth of thinking is that a higher aero probably has better aesthetics on the street (to some of us) and probably puts a GT4 at a disadvantage on the track. Why not just make the angle of the OEM wing more steep if you want more downforce on the rear? Porsche has given us that option in the OEM wing, right?

I don't believe I've seen a single tuner that knows these cars (BGB, GMG, TPC etc) mention the need for more downforce. Nor have I seen any of the "fast guys" around here mention it either. There's factory (porsche) development and then there is race development - where is the evidence? At this point it appears to be cosmetic in my mind as well.

I wonder if you can add the vorsteiner risers to the top of these. Or if you could just keep stacking the vorsteniner on top of each other?

I agree its mostly cosmetic, but I think some are overblowing the negative aero effects. I don't think it's as bad as we make it out to be.

Ordered!!! For me the aesthetics out weight the aero as 75% of the time I am just cruising with the car. Maybe I have GT3RS envy but damn those extensions look more factory than the factory units! Totally over priced but so are the Vorstiener extensions and IMHO they are much less attractive!

Dope and I agree these risers look more OEM and like the GT3RS than the original ones. Price wise it's all in the design and quality. And like you said the other competitors are not far behind in price for just an extension not a full/complete upright.

That's a hell of a lot of money to risk on a niche product. And don't even get me started about some of you asking for them to test with other vendors parts to balance the front end.

I'll just wrap up by saying I've already purchased a set. I'm very much looking forward to putting them on my car.
I have a simillar product on mine and can confirm that it does help the rear end at high speed corners more than the lower OE ......
