Default Joining the GT4 club tomorrow

She's on a truck and arriving tomorrow. Purchased from a fellow RL'er and excited to see what the GT4 is all about.

Congrats and enjoy in the best of health!

Did it come from NC? I saw some FS photos (and also saw the thread) on this and another (non-Porsche) forum that I frequent.

Spectacular looking car. If I didn't intend mine for track use I would have gone for the PCCB just for the gray/yellow combo which looks amazing!

Thanks guys and early congrats to you as well JLee.

Yes, it came from NC. I borrowed Jim's ad pic since it was much better than I'll ever take I'm sure. I'm looking forward to my first PCCBs and no brake dust. I would have gone iron if I was going to track it much but I have my e36 for that duty now.

Yes - his photos are amazing. One of these days we'll have to do a photo shoot by a pro. My pics NEVER look that good!

Looking forward to your impressions once you get some miles. IIRC it wasn't even broken in yet!

It's definitely fun so far in the few miles I've been able to put on it. The PCCB are excellent and I'm looking forward to no brake dust. I have to keep reminding myself about the clutch- how quickly one forgets after being on PDK for awhile.

No brake dust is awesome.

Having driven the standard brakes on the GT3 and moving to the GT4 with PCCB's, what is your feedback? I have PCCB's on my GT4 and would be interested in hearing your thoughts in the case I have the opportunity to purchase another GT car.

On the brakes- I don't have much time between the two yet. I will say that the iron brakes on the GT3 always seemed perfectly fine to me, even on the track. They are very good IMO.

When I spec'd out my GT3 I went with iron knowing that I was going to do a little track time. The only way I'd own PCCB is if I never tracked, but that is a whole other topic.

On this GT4, I liked the spec, the look of it and really wanted to try the no brake dust thing. And, it may see the track once if it's lucky- I know, it's a travesty! But, I bought an old e36 for that duty.

I had irons on my GT3 and honestly I think pccbs are well worth the money. My new gt4 and rs both have pccbs. So nice ...
