981 cayman GT4 GPS based PSE valve control
I’ve been working with Mech33 and modifying his GPS PSE mod to work with my Cayman GTS. Since I just got my GT4, I figure I do a write up and share with the community as to how to do this mod.
1. Read Mech33 thread on how to make the GPS PSE mod- use the 4 wire method!
https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...-checks-8.html
2. Read how to open up the engine compartment
http://www.planet-9.com/reviews/serv...r-removal.html
3. This is critical- Connect to the correct solenoid
4. I typically run the Harness into the right rear shelf storage is located. This is where I actually store the unit!
5. Have fun a laguna!!!
This device has been confirmed to pass 92db by three members this weekend at MRLS. It should pass 90db but I have not personally confirmed it yet so I will not make that claim at this time.
Mech33, Mooty and Orthojoe have all used this device this weekend without issues. I have not personally been on track with this device yet.
No, I am not interested in making any more of these devices. Please do not ask. Rumor has it that Alekshop may be making more. If not just follow the DIY and you will done in a few hours.
And yes, I know the pic have two different color cars

I wish I could have run it this weekend! Didn't get a chance to put it on the GT4 yet...
So many questions:
How'd you run the power up to the unit in the Cayman? Just surface run when using it at the track?
Any trick to getting the cable in the passenger storage compartment (drill a hole)?
How do you mount the box in the Cayman while on track?

Surface mount for power
You can actually run the wire underneath the storage compartment as I think there is an opening underneath
I just ran it next to the carpet and run the wire exposed... Does look great but not bad
I put Velcro on the bottom of the GPS device

Got it, thanks. Where did you poke through the firewall on the GT4 for the valve wiring?
