Cargraphic Headers. Whose got em?
#16
Anyone running a catless header with the OEM exhaust? I'm really considering this option. Of course BBI wants to install a 997 GT3 center muffler with it but I show houses with the GT4 so I can't do that. I have the LT catless cargraphic headers for my 987.2 and even BBI said they are great looking with super quality and the sound with the 997 GT3 center muffler is pure sex!

Catless Headers with Race X Exhaust:
Catless Headers with PSE
P.S. I would love to give anyone $1000 off a Cargraphic product but then I would be losing money so I'm not sure how that's even possible. Either way, we make up for it by sharing R&D secrets that no one else has. Cheers folks!
P.P.S. Please remember that these are race cars that do not go on the road and therefore are not required to run cats. A system without cats is not compliant with the DOT restrictions or EPA rules for emissions on U.S. roads.

^^Thanks for the vids
My worst fear has been realized, you completely lose the guttural tone from the stock PSE

So far running a Race header (without cats) require some sort of ECU tuning or you will get CELs......some people have tried mini-cats to get around the CELs but not sure how those work and last.

I was thinking the same thing, but that's a GTS, so hopefully Race X on a GT4 sounds better.

Don't trust 100% the tone from the videos.....one of the reasons I keep postponing uploading a video of my car with the full exhaust is because I can't do a decent one that even gets close to the tone, volume of the actual exhaust. I have the CG sport headers and Cup mufflers which should be more civilize than the system above and I can tell you that the sound from that video it's not even close to the actual sound.
Any experts here that would like to share a good way to record exhausts sounds?

One of the reasons I went with the FVD LT headers and cats with their valveless sound version exhaust is because they claim that you maintain and enhance the typical Porsche sound. I believe it because M&M makes the parts and they make they exhausts for the Porsche Cup cars. It is important to me to sound Porsche

No offense intended towards SP, but I'd prefer a group buy with BGB, based on their contributions to this forum and to the design of the product itself.

Here are the options:
Fabspeed - notice the tubes take a very direct path to the collector, and are much shorter as a result. They show good gains, so the design is efficient and is a great option.
The Car graphics headers have longer tubes that merge onto the cat. Longer tubes give you better scavaging, which helps the engine breath better at certain RPMs, but it has to be tuned correctly, and tends to be give back peaks of torque at the RPMs it was tuned for.
GMG has a similar design, but different length, so different tuning.
Finally no Cats on these Car graphic race headers....

Other things to consider when comparing those headers, and some of the reasons I decided on CG:
- Only the CGs doesn't have a short tube/step from the engine flange to the header tubes.
- Bend on the CG are less tight which should translate into better flow.
