are the MRG ti studs and ti nuts? the guys at tikore told me to be careful with this as they will seize together..? (i was inquiring with tikore if they made any studs because i run a set of their bolts on my RS4)

Question.....With 7MM spacer up front & 15MM rear, is there one stud size to accommodate or will I need two lengths?

both are Ti. Haven't had any issues seizing, but I haven't tracked so the temps aren't outrageous on just the street setup.

Correct. I have searched up and down and haven't seen one example of galling occurring. Just in case though I'm using anti-seize where the lug nut threads on. I'm also using blue loctite for the threads in the hub.

Frankly these 75mm studs are supposed to go to 15mm but the lugs are barely clearing the last thread with a 12mm so I would advise going 82mm all around for a stud of this design and those spacers. I'm running a 12mm spacer and it seems to be the max from what I can tell.

I'm testing these studs out to prove a point, so I don't endorse them yet. You definitely need to take great care in prep and maintenance. Don't let anyone nail these with an impact gun in other words.

Only concern, will a regular length deep socket have the internal clearance
to not bottom out before the nut is tight?

For my 75mm studs (and I think the 80ish mm on my M3) I just use a 1/2 drive deep socket for wheels (with the wheel protector sleeve) and that has been plenty deep.

Anyone found a set of locking (security) nuts to fit studs? Having just got the FI-Rs, I'm starting to think they might wander off while parked in the hospital parking lot (as has happened before -- reported on Planet 9). I don't necessarily want to install security nuts, but maybe they might deter someone with a passing interest in the wheels.
Thoughts on security nuts in general, or specific to the GT4 with studs, appreciated.

I just completed a MSI stud conversion. Purchased directly from MSI working with Curtis. Used their part 20.0013 stud and 40.0006-B nut. No issues. I previously used MSI to replace cheaper studs I broke on a 987.1.

Brining back this old thread. I'm going to be going with MSI studs and I'm wondering what color loctite to use? I know red is more secure, but at some point, I'll want to remove the studs and replace them with a new set.

Edit: After doing more research and consulting with other RL'ers (thanks, Bill L) seems like red is the way to go. Should also be red 272 (high temp applications), not 271

Is Loctite even necessary? From what I recall, studs are torqued to 60-70 ft-lbs and don't require Loctite. If it is required, can BLUE Loctite be used to allow removal of the studs in the future?

I suppose you could use blue as long as it is the high temp version (246, I believe). The consequences if a stud loosens are pretty scary though, so no reason not to use red. I am in the process of ordering studs from msi. I haven't seen their installation instructions yet, but per paradoc's post (#2), the torque for the studs was only 25ft lbs.
