Default 5" or 7" Race Ramp for trailer?

I'm picking up my GT4 shortly (finally!).

What size Race Ramps should I get for use with an enclosed car trailer? My 18' trailer does have a slight beaver tail and also has one of those fold out flaps on the door, like the attached.

It looks like the 5" ramps are what most people with other cars get but I wanted to see if that's what GT4 owners are using before getting them.

These are the 5" ramps:

Amazon.com: Race Ramps RR-TR-5 5" Trailer Ramp: Inc. Brute Industries: Automotive Amazon.com: Race Ramps RR-TR-5 5" Trailer Ramp: Inc. Brute Industries: Automotive

These are the 7" ramps:
Amazon.com: Race Ramps RR-TR-7-FLP 7" Trailer Ramp with Cut-Out: Automotive Amazon.com: Race Ramps RR-TR-7-FLP 7" Trailer Ramp with Cut-Out: Automotive

Thanks.

Why not apply math to figure it out? Afterall you have all the data on your trailer. If not its in your possession and you should be able to get measurements to fill in the variables.

Racing ramps website has a tool for figuring this all out, you need to know dimensions from the car though.
The GT4 front is pretty low and sticks out, particularly with that splitter on it

Yeah, I'm aware of that but since I don't have the car yet I can't take exact measurements. I was hoping to have the ramps here before I get the car.

Anyway, if no one else has the trailer ramps yet I will measure, order and post results after I get the car.

2x6 planks work great and do not cost $295.00. About $23.00 a plant. cut the end to a 45 degree angle to let the tire get onto the board. Easy to store in the trailer. Just another idea for you.

1) As has been posted Porsche claims a 6 degree approach angle. if you plan on lowering the car make that 5 degrees.
2) Now take the needed measurements of your trailer.
3) From 1 & 2 it is now a simple application of algebra, geometry and trigonometry

I have the RR TR 5 ramps. My GT4 just clears the 5s. I think the 7s will be too tall. Your tail ramp should be long enough to provide a shallow angle into your trailer when teamed up with the 5s. I can get onto my open deck beavertail using the short 4' slide out ramps and 5s without a problem. FWIW, the ease of use and light weight of the race ramps trumps the economy of wood planks. Wish I bought them years ago.
