I ran a wing similar to the GT4 wing on my 987. It was a little higher and wider and I did not notice any damage from track debris after running it for two years. Having over 140 track days in a 987, I'm planning on a full hood, bumper cover, and mirrors on my GT4.

Hey Bill,

Spend the extra $$ and get the rocker panels, the scoops, and the bottom of the rear fenders. If you don't believe me, I'll take pix after my next trip to Sebring in a few weeks.

Definitely agree!! The rockers and areas behind and below the scoops take a heavy hitting on the track. I will extrapolate and assume it occurs with regular road use too.

My car goes in tomorrow. I am doing front bumper, fenders, hood, mirrors, rockers, side scoop and wheel arch on rear bumper. I thought about the wing, but seemed like overkill.

Yes, you are correct; but, you left off the front window. BTW: I put screens inside the side air scoops while adding the scoops. A few weeks ago after getting home from Sebring, I put my hands into the scoops and removed lots of noodles.

Thank you for confirming it isn't necessary to wrap the wing.

Thanks

At the xpel corporate office in austin they quoted me 1895 for full front before discounts and tax.

10% off if you're a car forum member
10% off if you're a member of military/AAA

you can stack these discounts as well

I did the entire car and am happy with the result and would do it again. Yes its expensive but I'm OCD with rock chips, scratches etc.

If you cover the car partly, there would be differences in paint after some time under the sun. No coating that I know of can protect the car 100%.

If i would cover the car, I would it end-2-end.
