Default Nor cal shops for track maintenance on your GT4

So as I slowly creep up to 2k miles I'm beginning to think about getting a few things done to prep for track work. Two minor things would be brake fluid and oil change prior to my first day out.

I've done oil changes on other cars but don't feel that confident about brake fluid since I haven't flushed that since the 90s. I've also been ok with swapping pads on brembo style calipers but reading the porsche stuff here I would rather leave it to a good shop.

Anyway I've used BR Racing before and liked them but I was wondering if there are other good shops people like. I'd prefer proximity to the South Bay.

On another note if you are in the Bay Area and wouldn't mind letting me watch you service your brake fluid and pads on your GT4 I wouldn't mind watching to learn. I just don't want to do that my first time without supervision from someone who has done it before.

I can't help for the south bay, but for long-time excellence in a pro independent shop,
S-Car-Go in San Raphael is comprehensively capable. A long--time happy customer.

For track stuff:

Sharkwerks
TC Design
Jerry Woods Enterprises
Borelli motorsports (Dave Graff, formerly of Custom Alignment, works there)
Elephant Racing
and BR Racing, as you mentioned

Who am I leaving out? We have a lot of good shops.

I've been very impressed with GT Auto Concepts (http://www.gtautoconcepts.com). GMG recommended them for a harness bar installation and I've had them do some other work. I've been happy with every aspect of working with them.

I always thought Sharkwerks only took the big jobs like exhaust and big engine builds.

Good recommendations. I'll check some out.

SP Motorsports in Hayward, CA

http://www.spmsracing.com/contactus.html

They provide a wide range of services, including full track support, transportation and storage. They supported my Cup car for the past two seasons, and I won races thanks to them.

Oh, and they are Mooty approved!

I'll delete this post if it's too much of a thread-jack... I am looking for the best shop to
do paint protection films in the Bay Area...

I had great experience with BTM Motorwerks in Campbell. Brad and his crew are racers themselves and know their stuff.

I'll give a shout for Alekshop. My friend who drives a GT3 recommended him to me and I had my first alignment done there. It's a small shop but Aleks's very tentative treating your car like his.

If it was my car I would probably just stick with BR. Unless its broke, why fix it?
