Question Delivery wait to USA after Euro pickup

They say it takes 6-10 weeks for the car to arrive on US soil after Euro delivery. Is that what people around here have experienced?

Euro delivery will be a unique opportunity that I couldn't pass up, realizing I won't have the car for most of the summer.

Did you get your car earlier, or was that estimate correct?

thanks--

7.5 weeks to Denver. I think people on the East Coast get the cars quickest. Where do you live?

So much of the unpredictability comes at port during customs inspection/release. Two cars can arrive at port on the same day and one can take 2 days to clear while the other one can take two weeks.

Is there a difference in time to US delivery for cars dropped back at the factory vs using one of the alternative locations?

I think it is faster to drop at factory. Some of the timing is down to luck (how long your car sits waiting for the next load, etc.)

If you drop off at a remote location the car still has to return to Stuttgart before it goes to port. So depending on the initial transit time, it lengthens your NA delivery.

I'm dropping the car off at Frankfurt location.

Correct, I had confirmed with ED program that dropping off at either of the Factory locations is quicker than the alternate locations, due to all of them still exiting out of Emdem.

Mine took 5 weeks for east coast delivery. Dropped it off at the factory. If you drop it off else where, a 3rd party transport company has to deliver to Emdem.
