Default Got my GT4 last night, early thoughts/pics

So after a 1 week wait my GT4 came in last night. I did not spec this myself. I bought from a flipper on ebay and paid a few grand over sticker. Black would not have been my first choice if I was to build it, but I told myself the first Agate Grey, Silver or Black 1 I find that has LWBs, PCM, and Sport Chrono I will buy as long as it wasn't stupidly priced... This car had 61 miles on it.

Obviously there are some great photos on here but no photo does this car justice. It looks so incredibly amazing in person. A true sports car. The mouth of this car is just sinister. I also have a '14 991TTS which I do love but when it comes to plain "fun" , there is no comparison. The GT4 takes the cake. Sure, the TTS does 0-60 a full second and a half faster and it is a finely tuned speed machine but driving the GT4 is just so much more fulfilling.

I have never driven a mid-engine and quite honestly was never drawn to the style of the cayman. I had 2 997s prior to my 991TTS, both manual, and I missed it. The transmission is unbelievable and so much more fun than the PDK paddles in my opinion. I have both , so no bias here...

Lastly, the sound of that NA engine. WOW. Right behind your head, amazing... Cant even put that sound in the same stratosphere as my turbo.. This car to me is the ultimate driving experience. If you have 1 on order, you will not be disappointed.

sorry for the weak pics, lighting not good in my parking garage.

Congrats on the new car, and having both, for that matter. I've considered keeping my Turbo when the GT4 arrives, but I just can't fathom having two Porsches...I fear I'd feel guilty leaving one relatively unused. Good on you for your ability to drive them both!

I believe you were considering paying over a ridiculous amount for the new RS. I'm really glad that you went this route. This car is more fun than an RS,especially on the street where we do most of the driving.
Congrats and enjoy!

First photo looks kinda like a Batmobile...now all you have to do is find a Batcave to fly out of! Enjoy.

You are correct. So so so glad I went this route. If the RS itch comes in 6 months or so , maybe I'll do something but after driving the GT4 I have 0 desire for an RS.

And sorry for the sideways second pic, not sure why it did that and don't know how to fix it. Amateur!

Congrats- Would love to see more pictures from the back and other angles. I am torn between Carmine Red and Jet Metallic Black

I had a 2007 Basalt metallic Black Cayman S and I had no trouble keeping it clean

Best of both -- Black with red stitching and belts... Will have pics in a couple of weeks.
