Default Where to buy OEM wheels, spare set?

I've started looking for a spare OEM set of wheels and the usual places keep coming up with the $6k number for a set of four.

Anyone know of a better price for a set of 4 OEM wheels in the Platinum color?

This doesn't help you, but the only place I've seen them is at Suncoast for ~$6,000.

To the OP: given that the OEM GT4 wheels are NOT forged, why not buy some after-market wheels? They would be a LOT less expensive, about the same weight, and your tires would be free (total cost of wheels and tires less than $6000). And you get to pick style and color.

BTW, the price of a set of forged GT3 wheels is $6000. Why are the GT4 wheels, which are not forged, the same price? Just as the lip spoiler for the GT3 is $200 and for the GT4 $300? Are GT4 owners being gouged?

When was it established as a given that the GT4 wheels are not forged? Last I checked there was evidence on both sides but nothing conclusive. Given the price and that AP said in the Evo interview that the wheels were forged (and that doesn't seem like a detail on which he would be incorrect or even fuzzy), I'm still inclined to believe they're forged, but I'm certainly willing to be proven wrong.

Hhhmmm.. I was thinking this whole time they were not forged as someone provided some evidence. Oh well, AP said they are....

Regardless, there are lighter options out there for forged wheels by BBS, HRE, etc.

HRE RC100 are forged and lighter than OEM wheels. I think they look great, but obviously harder to clean than stock wheels:

If you read the relevant threads you will learn about the arguments for, and against, the wheels being forged. The ONLY evidence for is the statement by AP in the Evo video. Every other piece of information, including the weights, the absence of any mention in official Porsche literature, the fact that the markings on the back of the wheel are cast into the arms unlike EVERY forged wheel, which has markings stamped in, or none at all, and the obvious visual difference between the GT4 wheels and the GT3 wheels (which we know are forged because they have ALL the features just enumerated), points to the fact that the GT4 wheels are not forged.
But if you want to think they are forged, go right ahead...

PS at $6000 a set these are the heaviest forged wheels on the planet!

Ok, well the evidence against is definitely stronger than I remember. This is very disappointing for a lot of reasons: they're not forged, they're unreasonably expensive for being cast, and perhaps most surprisingly, AP misspoke on a reasonably significant detail.

I just believed AP and remember him stating that in the video
Call me gullible
I guess he has some explaining to do

Also, the configurator specifically mentions "forged" for the GT3, but does not say it for the GT4. That's a major selling point which I don't think marketing would miss on their website:
