You gotta drain the radiators too during the flush and best way to do that is disconnecting the inlet hose with an O-ring don't you? I could be wrong.

That's the best they could come up with? Though it is difficult to prove otherwise at this point, that explanation sounds like complete BS.

Boxster flush procedure

I'm assuming the process is essentially the same. You're right. I suppose the O-ring could be damaged during this procedure.

That, or they just flat screwed it up and are blaming an o-ring. Who's to say otherwise.

Sounds suspect, I agree.

Beyond cool! Funny when I got there, there were about 10 other guys there and 5 or 6 other cars. Mostly Porsches. It was cold and the road was wet in some places so I expected it to be quiet. Then a Subaru/Mitsu club showed up with about 20 cars followed closely by abuut 25 Nissan GTR's.

Then Jay pulled up and said "Wow I didn't expect anyone to be here this morning." He stayed for 1/2 hour or so, took pictures with everyone who asked, answered every question anyone asked him about his car. Spent a few minutes talking to me and couple other guys about his USO trip to Afghanistan while showing us pics of his bedroom on the plane he took there. Some guy was there with a young son and Jay put him in the Hispano and let him blow the horn (god that horn is loud!). Totally cool guy. I left about 10 minutes after he did but then I ended up following him on Kanan road down to the 101.

If I am honest though it is more likely he was looking back to check the highway before he merged, and not really checking out my car. haha.

How are the roads? After the heavy rains recently I skipped driving out there because I figured there would be tons of mud and rocks on the road.

There were a few rocks in the road in the area East of the Rock Store but not too bad. The bigger issue was the surprise very wet patches that would pop up in the middle of an otherwise dry corner. Cruising nice and slow was the solution for both issues though.

Make that picture into a high resolution poster and hang it in your garage!
