I have a Backyard Buddy that has performed very well. Very well built and free-standing. Even got the wheels for it and have moved it around using them several times. Have had it since 2008.
Hope to buy another some day and if so it would be another Backyard Buddy.
Here's a recent pic.

Nice. I have an 4 post Advantage Lift. It's a similar design as the backyard buddy...

I have a four post lift with the "sports car" ramps and can't get the GT4 up without hitting the front plastic piece. I haven't tried backing it on, but it seems like I'd have the same issue driving it down. Have you tried to extend the metal ramps with "race ramps" to decrease the incline? Any other things you've tried successfully?

Another vote for backyard buddy. Well built and safe.

Which lift do you have? I have the quality lift and with the extended ramps I am fine driving up. I think if your lift is leveled to be higher than right on the floor the. You might have an issue.

The old time fix for steep ramps is two 3' pieces of 1x12 lumber, inserted under the ends of the ramps.

I'll look at my lift type. The entry is lower because the ramp hits on the outside of the garage because of the length of the ramp. I'll try the wood fix. I also found a "race ramp" which should extend the length of the metal ramp and reduce the incline. I'm going to try that as well for a more long term fix.

I have a Quality Lift as well and don't have any issues pulling my Cayman R onto it. Not sure if the GT4 is even lower, however.

You can see the ramps in this photo. My lift looks a lot like yours - what do your ramps look like? I had two options when I bought the lift, the normal ramps and the "sports car" longer ramps. The front spoiler touches right at the top of the ramps.

I was going to ask if it's possible to do suspension replacement (on my old project car) with a 4 post lift but I finally viewed the forum on the web and see that you have it off the lift with all 4 wheels off. How do you raise it like that?

I probably only have space for the PP8SY version.

Thanks!

Ditto!

Also no issues getting on my lift with the default ramps in either direction.

You need to buy the rolling jacks that are compatible with the lift
