I was down to three colors before I found out through the forums that PTS was no longer available
Sa never told me and I was looking at golf blue lava orange or geyser gray which is the color of the anniversary 991 911
My nine-year-old son wanted mahogany can you believe it? Yuk

Mahogany isn't that bad haha
Now I'm stuck between Sapphire blue or red

And if someone at AWE thinks that 'Grey Black' has minute amounts of
'metallic flake to the finish', that is fine. But I am pretty sure that PAG
would not agree with that statement or characterization of its 'Black
Grey' hue, a color which they describe as a solid /uni, non metallic color!
Porsche is very specific at how it defines 'solid/uni' colors, vs colors that
are defined by PAG as metallic (either with metal flakes or ceramic crystals)
'that don’t just reflect light but refract it too, splitting it into different colors
by allowing some light in & slowing it down as it passes through.'
And 'Black Grey' is defined by PAG as a Solid/Uni, period.

At first I thought the car had a coating of silica dust from the desert.
Looking closer it was clean, and in the combination of direct sunlight and fluorescent lights, sparse purple flakes in the paint were apparent.
Interesting, but not liking any metallic content I decided to cross it off my list.
I'm an Industrial Designer well versed in paint formulation, and don't see anything wrong with Porsche placing this color in the uni column, because it has at most a few percent metallic content.
To say that they wouldn't agree that it has any metallic content would be incorrect though, as they formulated it that way.

I knew beforehand that Grey Black was a solid color, was interested in it for

colored contact lenses, which are fashionable among hip 'industrial designers'
today?
Just kidding. I have noted your comments and will take it up with the color
specialists in Germany at Porsche. You might be correct and now we just
need confirmation from PAG that their color 'Grey Black' has sparse purple
flakes in the paint as you suggest.
As you might know, I have requested through my contacts at Porsche that
they allow me to interview the folks at the factory that decide on PTS. And
I will also take the opportunity to ask questions like this about the metallic
content of some paints that are characterized by them as 'solid/uni'.

Looks like the owner is scoffing at all the grown-ups that once admonished him for getting high off of highlighters as a kid

This is such a great color. Big fan.
Wouldn't get it myself as the GT4 is attention getting enough as is even in its most boring colors where I live, but if I lived somewhere else where flashy cars were more common I'd be down like a clown.

Love the Birch Green!
