No RS or Viper ACR either, the latter of which according to an Autoblog article yesterday has already set production car lap records at 13 tracks in the US. Strange....

While we're at it, what the hell is the title about: 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4, Not quite as quick as it looks.
Article is mediocre at best but the title did highly annoy me.

yeah really, that's absurd.

Very disappointed with C&D. The Lightning Lap is my favorite issue each year and I was really looking forward to this one. Alas, no GT4.
Then, to make it worse, when they finally do get their hands on one, is it a cover story? No.
A full blown multi-page feature? No.
Okay...a comparison between similar enthusiast drives? No.
We get a mini afterthought all the way in the back of the issue with a headline that states its "not as quick as it looks". WTF? I usually read magazines from start to finish, leaving certain articles as rewards as I get to them, but this one I had to turn to immediately to see what was wrong with the car. Did it go 0-60 in 5.5 or something? Nope. I really don't get C&D here at all.

We all know it is a great car. Great balance, driver involvement etc. BUT, let's be honest, it's true - It is not as quick as it looks. Yeah, I said it! Doesn't mean I love it any less; however, in this day and age 385hp is not exactly "overwhelming"...this car should be a 430-450hp car.

Can you blame them? I mean really....how else are they supposed to make room for two Cadillacs in the $65-125k range? No performance contest is complete without several Cadillacs in the mix.
Car and Driver has always been a bit of a joke, anyway. Hate to say it, but the American car rags have always been lame - they tend to like comfortable, big motor GT cars anyway.

It's lap times at the Ring and Laguna say otherwise.
That being said I don't judge how "quick" a car is by 0-60 times or top speed...
Either way carry on .

I don't judge how "quick" a car is by 0-60 either, but the time they got for 0-60 was still quick.
My point was how lame of a way to summarize a highly anticipated amazing car. Its like going to a 3 star Michelin restaurant and complaining about the parking lot.

Maybe they only included cars that you can actually go out and buy tomorrow.
We all know that the GT4 and GT3RS are pretty well sold out, so they probably thought "why include them?"
Just a guess.
