Typo in maintenance booklet regarding GT4 oil change interval?
It's not a surprise that the maintenance booklet lists:
Intermediate maintenance: every 2 years or 12000 miles
Maintenance at every 4 years or 24000 miles
These are the same time intervals but shorter mileage than the other 981's.
However, is it a typo that the engine oil change interval is every 1 year or 12000 miles? Should it say every 1 year or 6000 miles like the GT3 and GT3 RS? The other cars are every 1 year or 10000 miles, so 1 year or 12000 miles makes it a longer mileage than all the 991's and 981's.
Also, I'm pretty sure my instrument cluster service info doesn't reflect the GT4 specific mileages but rather the non-GT mileages.

Do you happen to have a PDF of the maintenance booklet? I'd like to see it. If not, any chance you'd be willing to type or scan the time/mileage intervals for the various items?

I heard Porsche change the maintenance schedule for the 2016 models. Maybe with the potential lawsuit and warranty potential stateside Porsche will change it back to one year? We will see. I recall seeing two years on the maintenance screen on the GT4.

Whoever does the proof reading for Porsche on their materials should be fired. I remember when the 993 came out they had the wrong HP in the brochure. On the GT4 one thing i read said the STD radio was 25 watts and another said 225, So i ended having to buy the CDR+ to make sure i wasn't getting a radio that had the power of a Chrystal set. carl

Typo in maintenance booklet regarding GT4 oil change interval?
IIRC, GT3 6000 mile oil change is only specified in the track use manual. Normal use is 10 or 12k miles. Is there a track use manual for the gt4?

With today's synthetic oils, a 12k mile oil change really shouldn't be an issue if just putting around town. That said, no way on this green earth will leave it past 3500 4500 miles..
What I will be doing (as in the past) is sending samples of my first several changes over to Blackstone labs for analysis. . Then I will know how well the motor and oil are holding up. (But I'm ocd that way.. )

Not if the base setup the US includes Sound Package Plus, which seems to be the case, although I don't know of anybody who got the base CDR head unit here who has confirmed that with an actual car. And actually the ROW base audio is 4 speakers but 2x25W. The 2 indicates channel count, and it's 25W per channel, not per speaker.
