Default Any Canadian GT4 buyers get news?

So apparently the GT4's and many other Porsches are still stuck at the port in Halifax for central and eastern Canadian buyers.

Anyone get any more recent news? My dealer called me on Wednesday of last week and said they were told to expect the cars Thursday or Friday of this week based on current port backlog, and that he would call me when the car left port on the truck, but I haven't heard anything yet, which makes me doubt this week again.

Thanks.

I have not heard any news yet. Been sitting in Halifax since June 29th.

My car is not expected to arrive until Oct 30th.
From the way things are going, maybe all of ours will arrive at the same time.

Are they shipping the GT4s via truck or rail? I know 911s get transported by truck to destination generally but other models get transported by rail primarily. That will delay delivery.

Dealer expects them to be shipped via truck. Still should not take more than 3 weeks to leave Halifax.

Dealer told me he received 2 truck deliveries from port of Halifax yesterday, my car was not in them unfortunately. I'm rather skeptical of the whole port backlog story at this point.

You Canadians sound very flustered. Is it because...

winter's coming?

Flustered is when you have trouble explaining the lipstick stain on your collar. What we are is aggravated.

Yeah I was told today that the dealer's other waiting cars left in rail but they are having trouble getting the GT cars shipped out on a low clearance truck.
I don't think my dealer is lying to me, but I suspect Porsche Canada isn't giving the dealer the full story.
Quite frankly if Porsche can't arrange a truck at port it's kind of embarrassing.

I talked to a local dealer here - he was expecting the first batch of GT4's this week, but he said they are delayed in Halifax - so the story is consistent.

Who is for renting a 6 car low clearance rig and driving to Halifax and taking what's ours?
