Rumor on German forum is around 3rd week for GT4 Cup. Seem to remember something about 17th and Manthey being involved with PAG on this one.

Hey John,
Would you care to make a guess as to how much one would cost?
If they built it like the GT3 Cup, it would mean they gut everythig and build a full race car - can't image it being "way" less than a GT3 Cup since the input is similar. But, their stated goal is a more affordable race car.

Will it has a PDK transmission or will it be a 6-speed manual?

A manual will be offered. Look at every other homologated "GT4" car that's been sold, such as Aston Martin, BMW M3 GT4, etc. etc.....all manual tranny. Also keeps it legal for Continental tire series, and will probably end up being a single make race series, as a feeder to GT3 Cup.
Porsche is smart, they see how much market is out there and how much they are losing to companies, like Ford, who sells a Mustang race car in that price range, that is eligible to compete in countless amounts of series. Again, that is a manual.
Porsche has a huge focus on limiting operating costs, and a manual tranny is alot cheaper than sequential. Even the GT3-R operating costs are going to go down alot compared to current Mezger based customer cars. That's why you don't see any of them on GT3 grids anymore, many other much more cost effective options out there.
I'll be shocked if GT4-R is not a manual. Maybe they offer an option for it, but base car will be a manual.

^ I would be shocked if not manual as well. GT4 class competitors are all manual so having PDK or sequential is cheating as it is a huge advantage as it eliminates all potential driver error related to gear changes.

^^ That's not entirely true. Cars have to be homologated to run a certain gearbox BUT that doesn't have to be a manual. Some of them do run one however.
But I've raced GT4 series cars before - I used to own a Ginetta G50 GT4 that had a quaife sequential gearbox. The newer Ginetta G55's run a Hewland paddleshift system. The Evora GT4 also runs paddle-shift.
I think from the potential video we saw from Monza is sounded like the test car was running the sequential out of the 997 Cups. In the end it will come down to what Porsche thinks is best based upon the BOP requirements it will be imposed upon it for the different configurations as it which direction it will go but I think we will only see one option in the end.
