I emailed my SA after reading about this recent round of allocations. I'm #3 at a Premier Dealer. He responded "Why yes we did get some allocations." We have a call scheduled for this weekend when the GM returns since my order included the LWB's. Still have no clue if I'm getting a GT4 and peeved that I have to chase the guy down for the privilege of handing over my money (even if there are literally 20 people on the list).

Congrats, but I don't really see the basis for being peeved here. If all your SA could say when you chased the guy down was that they got some allocations but wasn't able to delve into your specific expressed build desires pending GM availability, then perhaps the SA was simply waiting to call you until he had all of the information you'd likely want rather than saying, "You have an allocation!" and then being unable to answer the questions he expected you to immediately ask.

Congratulations may be premature. I see your point; in isolation the SA's comments are benign, appropriate even. But he has a pattern of evasiveness (not responding to email and voice mails) that is disappointing in the context of a $100,000 purchase. Hence my peevishness. That said, all will be forgiven if I get an allocation!

Which area are you located?

I talked with my dealer last week (see my earlier postings), and basically they get build dates once every 2 to 3 months for the next quarter for the allocation they have (and additional allocations due to sales goals and euro deliveries etc). My dealer showed me his sheet: End of July for him to get the dates for the Q4 allocations (that include my build slot).

I just got passed over at my dealer due to the LWB issue ... I am now going to receive their next allocation. I am under the assumption that Porsche is going to build GT4s through Q1 of 2016 so I am still hopeful.

To be clear, the extended leather only adds the leather around that speaker and the defroster vents right up against the windshield. The large panel at the front of that photo is leather even without the extended option. The extended option also adds leather on the end of the dashboard (the part you only see while the door is open), but that seems even more lame. I'll be passing since the additional areas I think will only be visible when the doors are open or you're looking at the dash from the outside through the windshield.

My dealership 2 additional allocations this month making the total 6. I'm #7 on the list and I'm very optimistic that people ahead me will drop behind due to the delay of LWB or due to other unfortunate "circumstances"

I'm getting one. This no sport buckets is a hard thing to swallow I am going to see if I can negotiate them for dealer cost in the deal and they install them when they become available.
