Pretty much my thoughts, too.

A couple of months ago a customer of my dealer came back from Germany and told my dealer that there would be a GT4 RS. He moved his deposit from a GT4 to the RS. When I heard that I put a deposit down on a GT4 RS also (just $1,000 fully refundable). If it is made, I'm #2 on the list at a Premier Dealer. If it is not, I get my money back. We shall see.

BTW, I put my GT4 deposit down last May when the GT4 rumours became widespread. Glad I did, as I was about to order a Cayman S and the GT4 is a much better fit for me.

Did the customer say anything about the RS transmission?

Get the gt4 now and the gt4rs later if it ever comes out. You probably won't lose anything on the gt4. I'm expecting this car to keep its value very well.

Yep, I think this is a big possibility with the GT4.

I tried to put a deposit on a RS at the same dealership that I had one on a GT4. They said that the only contract that are doing now are at "market value". I said no way. He said that the GT3 Rs was trading between dealers at $50k over sticker. It looks like the late 90s and 2007 all over again. Jeezzz.

Default Cayman GT4 RS?

As there is no wider body shell for the cayman, I'm interested in how they would differentiate it visually outside of a bigger wing? Doesn't seem plausible to me.. What engine would fit in it.. The gt3 9a1?

heres a photoshop I did a while back and posted of what it could look like(at least what I would like it to look like.) RS style scalloped hood and roof, GT3 style side skirts, larger side scoop RS style front fenders, larger wing to offset the downforce gained from the fenders
