Well, I'm hoping that even gorging at the options buffet won't get us to $125k.

I'm only planning on the Lightweight Bucket Seats for myself (we'll see if they can tempt me beyond that single option - possibly paint).

I think GT4 will probably match or even beat 7.1gt3.
Maybe I'm alone, but I'd still much rather have a 6- or 7GT3.

Not necessarily, but I can't buy those new for 5-figures with Euro Delivery.

While I'm interested in trying Mooty's "money brain", my my interest and hope in reading all the GTS reviews, is that the gearing on the GT4 is significantly shorter. Am i correct in recalling that the GTS can reach 82 miles an hour in second gear?

Ps:bgb Motorsports is a class-act vendor and an asset to this forum. I hope his restraint and informative posts can help him sell cars.

I agree that better gearing would be extremely welcome. If it's a 3.8, it should cope with the tall gearing better than the GTS, but 3.8 and lower gearing would be my preference.

The 2.7L 6-spd transmission is a closer ratio box than the 6spd in the 3.4L 981 cars and therefore accelerates faster. IF that trans is used it will be shorter. This is why we use the 2.7L transmission.

P.S. CAlexio...thanks for the thumbs up! We will always be here to serve 981 owners that want a 3.8L road car made from their existing vehicle!

My ideal Cayman GT4 would be a 3.4L high revving unit with the GT3 internals. Less torque for sure than a plain 3.8. So 3.4L 9k redline 425 hp pdk-s wider flares 2850 lbs. Real GT series cars should have a bespoke motor. I actually don't care anymore whether it is offered in a manual. Price it on the south side of $100k and my wife gets a new car.

My plan exactly. 2016 ED, 2+ months in Europe after pick up (based by the lakes in the North so close to all the great driving roads) just to get her over the hump with the PTS selection I make and the 6 speed gearbox (shes fine with stick but would prefer PDK)! Actually basically a re run of our 991 GT3 trip last year but twice as long and in summer!
