718 GT4RS

Available now (~600 HP DeMan 4.5L), and with a proper manual!
Maybe the manual is `conservatively' torque rated, or wait until it pops and then bring it in for the recall.

I'll play... 4.0 GT4 motor tweaked to 440hp plus nice torque bump, PDK only, RS uprights (maybe swan neck ), tweaked aero, tweaked suspension, Cup 2R tires, $125k base, releases next year! Not numbered but artificially limited production and allocations hard to get...

And maybe some hemp fiber panels

Hope he is right....just talked to the Sales Manager at my dealer to see if we can delay my allocation until we have confirmation of PDK availability...I have my 981 still so I can wait a bit more for the new car.

If this is true for the 450hp boxster, we can already guess that it will be powered by the new 4.0 on the one hand, and on the other hand the GT4 RS should reach an equal level of power... 2021/2022 is perfect period for me to change. No chance I move o the current 718 GT4!

Also, if it's the same engine then we know the one on the GT4 is very restricted.

Getting 30hp more (only 7%) from the same 4.0L doesn't show the motor is too restricted. However, I'm guessing the 25th Boxster would have a Manual gearbox - so expect the same 309 ft-lbs of torque. But the GT4 RS would likely get 450hp and the unrestricted torque of ~340 ft-lbs to pair with its PDK gearbox.

The RS recipe is clear, which ones make it to GT4RS, who knows:
cf frunk lid: highly confident yes as AP in the German interview basically said “never say never” so that means yes (I study AP language and mannerisms for fun).
Plastic rear windows seem likely
mag or cf roof (maybe)
mesh door pockets
More power: yes, see Chris’s note about 450hp boxster
PDK only: almost certainly
bigger wing
more aero
new colors (lizard lava probably)
less certain:
height adjustable suspension
center lock wheels (would be easy to add)
mag wheels (demand outstripping supply at the moment)
wide body
wild cards: turbos .... manual?
