It's not using the "DGG" engine - i.e. 4.0 (991.2 GT3/RS).
Instead, it's based on the current turbocharged motors, minus the turbos.

They increased the displacement of the previous 3.8L GT4 engine.

No, according to AP they increased bore and stroke of the newer 9A2 3.0L twin turbo motor and removed turbos...

As I said in the 718 forum, Bella!! Fantastico for the Spyder!! to my eye and taste, my favorite Porsche rag top. Had a 2015 Boxster GTS and still miss it. My updated signature says it all!

Just a quick question re the GT4 - does anyone believe it will be offered with a PDK option for the track?

Disappointing that the Spyder no longer has an analog suspension...it was the best thing about the car, in both the previous 987.2 and 981.1 generations.

Sorry I haven't looked at all the articles ...

Is there any word anywhere in regards to the rumored GT4 RS?

The spyder looks much nicer to me than the 991 speedster. Any news on price? I imagine at least 15% jump over the 981 version.

Yes, that's correct. However, I don't see a big difference between 9A2 and 9A1 - unless I'm missing something?

It's not like the M96/97 to 9A1 change.
