Hello, long time Cayman owner (987CS and 981CS). I just worked out a deal on this one and I’m picking it up next week:
https://www.porscheofkingsautomall.c...749b0d28f6.htm

Does anyone know who’s it was? The owner traded it in for a GT3RS from what the dealer said. It’s almost identical to the one Matt was driving in this video:

The suspension work that was done to it lines up, same aftermarket shifter and smooth leather option on the steering wheel, guards red stitching, black seatbelts, LWBS, red band on steering wheel, etc. If it’s his I’m sure he pulled off the dundan headers and anything else before the trade-in that he could make some money back on (it’s being offered as certified).

I would love to get some history on the car! I tried messaging Matt Moreman on Facebook, but haven’t heard anything back (figured it was a long shot).

Congratulations on the upcoming purchase. Very exciting. If that is the GT4 from Matt's video I believe it was Alan's. His username here is "Alan C".

That's a well optioned car. I think this is a pretty smart way to get into a GT4. Higher mileage means you won't worry about driving it a lot and your price entry point is lower. You can put the money you save towards tires. I had new Pilot Sport cup 2's on mine when I picked it up in late January. I did a PCA driving school event last weekend and couldn't believe the wear the tires experienced. I suspect that as one becomes better at the skills that are taught in the school that the rate of tire wear drops at least in some small sense. But it was eye opening in terms of how much rubber you wear off in one weekend. Speaking of that PCA event, what a great group of people who volunteered to instruct and work the event. And doing the ride along with some of the instructors really drove home how good most of them are as drivers.

Congratulations! That is my former GT4. First oil change at 2000 mi. and every 3-4k after the first. Never over 4k rpms until the engine was up to temperature. Only issue was one coil pack failure.

I have the TPC DSC V2 box, a set of 20" Forgeline GX3s, bbi sub bar and a Schroth specific 6 point harness for the car if you are interested in parts.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I reluctantly traded it.

Usually when the stealership says a car was previously owned by an old man, its a lie. But in this case, it’s true

Thank you for the kind words, everyone!! I’m very excited to bring this home. I’ve been drooling over GT4s since I bought my 981CS a few years ago. I watched Matt’s YouTube video a couple times and then it hit me, I just put a deposit on THAT car! 😆 Needless to say, now I’m even more excited to pick it up.

Alan, your car is going to a true enthusiast. No worries there. I’m glad to see it came from a like minded p-car lover. Looking forward to making a trek out to the smokies where this thing belongs. Maybe we can meet up some time and trade keys 😜

You will enjoy the car. After you get used to it a set of Dundon headers and tune will really step it up.

Hmm.. posting was taken down from the dealer. How many miles are on the car?
Congrats on the purchase! Hoping to pick one up myself, in a few months..
I'm debating on going for a higher mileage one to save on cost.
