Just got my car back from the Dealer, after having the transmission replaced under the recall.

I’m noticing a bit of play in the lever when the car is in neutral or in gear, the fact that I’m noticing is making me think it’s not normally like this.

Anyone else have a bit of play in the lever or is it pretty tight?

Did they mess with the shifter as part of the transmission replacement?

I just had my transmission done, I now have the same slop as you're describing which wasn't there before. I had the tech look at it and they said this was normal. The SA could see my disapproval and ask for me to drive it for a week or two and bring it back if I'm still unsatisfied. He assured me they'll do whatever it takes to make it right if I'm still not happy after giving it a go. Mine will be going back next week. I'll report back after. Frustrating nonetheless.
