New GT4 owner
Hey guys, I just picked up my new to me GT4 last weekend and I couldn’t be more excited!
Im coming from a 2012 Audi TTRS which I enjoyed very much but grew tired of the Golf platform (what an engine though!)
Heres my old girl:
And here’s my new toy:
A little about the car - purchased it CPO with 22K Kms, options include LWBs, fire extinguisher, leather interior, dual climate control and rain sensing wipers. Fairly basic build but just how I like it!
All the 3rd gear issues didn’t scare me away from the car since it’s CPO and Porsche is well aware of the issue, I’m not worried. The whole strut tower thing does make me a bit uneasy but I won’t let a small number of failures keep me from enjoying this amazing car. I’m sure that as more and more GT4s/GT3s have this problem there will eventually be a fix or possibly a lawsuit against Porsche?😁
Ive only logged about 300kms on the car since purchase and boy what a difference in driving experience this provides versus my old Audi. I am missing the low end torque which my RS had gobs of, but the top end on this car is just way more exciting, I can only imagine how the 991.2 Gt3 engine must be.
Anywho if anyone is in the Toronto/Mississauga area I’m always interested in meeting like minded owners! Planning on putting some good miles on it this summer!

There are some crazy cheap GT4s out in toronto. C$106k for a claimed perfect no story 12k km car? A bunch around $110k.....

I'm an ex Audi of America employee and very familiar with the 5cyl turbo lump having owned a 1st gen 1993 Audi S4 which had the rally inspired 5 cyl turbo AAN motor . The final built version of my S4 had a GT35r and pushed 500whp which was savage for that old chassis. Great sound at full chat that's for sure !
Congrats on getting the GT4 and bravo to you for not letting the 3rd gear and strut tower issues deter you from owning this phenomenal Porsche.

There are some great spec GT4’s in TO. I’ve been looking for about 18 months and the prices have come down dramatically as we get closer to 2020 being released. Just a week ago I walked on a ‘16 as I secured the opportunity to purchase a 2020, but I found the 2016 spec I’d been looking for and the price was $15k under MSRP, it was really hard to say no but given the opportunity to purchase 2020 with my exact spec was too good to say no to.

I’m in Caledon , I pick up my 16-GT4 in a week or so from Marks Porsche in Ottawa. I just joined Rennlist so have no idea if this post will go through or not . Not a lot of GT4 owners around.
