Took the time today to jack her back up and correct my original mistake in attaching the muffler mounting plate. For the record, the correct orientation is for the upper tabs to tuck behind the plate that mounts to the transmission and for the lower portion to sit on top or in front of that transmission plate. This effectively corrected for my downwards angled tips and they are now level and true. Still think the 100mm are a bit too long but overall much better.

i was able to support the muffler and axle pipes with jack stands. Remove the muffler straps which effectively freed the muffler from the mounting plate, unbolt the mounting plate from the transmission mount and reposition without having to drop the entire muffler or disconnecting the side pipes.

Now it's time to recruit Mike Comet an exhaust sound recording guru for some excellent sound clips using his dB thing ma jig.

Good news. Any more feedback on exhaust note/noise now it’s been awhile?

Deeper and ‘throatier’ Per the wife who rode in it for the first time last night. Definitely louder than stock with race headers and the valves closed. Not sure that it’s any louder than having them open though. I like it

I think its louder but its hard to really put your finger on it. The fact that the wife wasn't put off by it was a good sign.

My wife was completely put off it and noticed the difference vs race headers + PSE immediately.

Dundon are making some cats for me and hopefully have them and on in a few weeks, so will report if there is any difference.

Anyone have the dimensions (length) of the stock 991.2 gt3 tips? I keep hearing that they are a good fit for the GT4 conversion but would like to know specifically how long they are.

I have the Dundon tips which I believe are 88mm. I will take a pic and measure them for you in a couple of hours when I am back home.

Here are pictures of the Dundon tips. 88mm to the bottom, 110mm to the top.

Quiet. The muffler is awesome and does a great job keeping the car quiet at WOT. The issue as with all catless GT3 muffler conversions is they drone down low and very boomy (under 2000rpm). Noone with cats have complained about this so hoping this should fix it.

If you drive the car at 2500rpm+ then there is no issues and you could cruise at 3500rpm more than comfortably.

My wife isn't a car person, and has been in the GT4 probably less than 10 times in the 3 years I have had it so not a good guide of how bearable it is but she did pick up the difference. She never complained about the race headers previously (non Dundon).

Yup. Those would be perfect - look great, but fitment would be totally different with the stock GT3 muffler unfortunately.

Your cats are getting welded up Charlie, should be ready to ship by the end of the week.
