The final piece... Dundon gt3 muffler conversion

Try it fir a couple of weeks. I felt the same but a couple of weeks later either I adapted or it softened. I now automatically change down and above 3k rom if i want to push on.
the boom is much reduced with the JCR turn down baffled tips, i use them for hill climbs to make UK noise regs.
jamie sells a quieter lifetime muffler but he says d it still drones probably less than the Ti GT3RS one i use.
surely someone in a 991.2RS will have the JCR pipes that you can try?
there are some UK:Germans running M&m muffler from Jens Ehresmann who claim low drone but i dint have any direct experience.

If you're going to experiment with muffler packing, I'd suggest Scotch-Brite stainless steel scrubbing pads.
Fiberglass or ceramic packing will deteriorate because of the short path from the engine.

Thanks both, that's a good place to start. I use the car to drive 50 minutes to the office each way and will be going in every day for the next couple of weeks, so I have time to try it out. If I go back to the PSE I will stick a set of long tube catted street headers on it instead of the race headers, so I have to go right under the car. I should have a MaxJax 2 post lift installed in 3 weeks or so, so nothing is happening before that.
By the way Snowy, where are you based. I'm a Brit myself, came over here to the US in 2001. I grew up and lived in Woking in Surrey for 30 years and my family are still in the area.

Has anyone with a GT3 conversion kit got around to running the JCR Titanium silenced bypass? I have the TPC kit with OEM SS and not a fan of the boomyness and low RPM drone.
I wonder if this could be streetable with the valves closed?

JCR bypass pipes don't have a bracket feature like the Akrapovic, so there's no way to secure it to the bracket on the end of the transmission.
However, DeMan apparently was able to somehow make it work on the white 4.5L GT4 that was just sold.
Either way, those small mufflers won't decrease the drone.

I found a used Akra GT3 center muffler on flee-bay which should arrive tomorrow. I'll install over the next week or so and report back on the results. Hopefully it will reduce the drone. If not, it is back to catted street headers and the PSE for me.
