You guys think I should list mine there? I want $87,700. Same mileage, but with buckets and a much nicer spec. Could I get $5,000 more than the auction price for that car?

"pretty steep" ? That is not realistic. Any top auction house is 10% to 12% today. And they turn cosigners away. 5%? That is a breeze.

Yes, do it. With buckets and higher spec you are golden. As long as you can be active/participate & produce a low over-rev report.

I need to get an updated one, but I am 99% sure I haven't gone past the rev limiter!

I have never sold or bought a car at an auction. But at BAT, the seller is not legally obligated to sell you the car. So, you bid $90k on a car, "win," and pay BAT $4500 instantly and have nothing. Just thought that seems like a lot for no guarantee.

I actually emailed BAT about this the other day and they had a very reasonable response - it doesn't happen much, but when it does they work with the buyer and will consider a refund. Based on his tone, I believe they would give you a full refund, but he didn't want to commit to that in writing as a "policy."

At Mecum or others, is the seller locked in to do the deal?

@Raidersfan: Should you post yours there for sale? I understand BAT "negotiates" pretty hard with sellers to set a reasonable (low-ish) reserve. BAT needs sales to make money, and they don't care so much if sellers get top $. So, if they will give you the reserve you want, it only costs $100 if you are a seller - the risk is very low!

That car did pretty well for a car with little options. $87k MSRP car, sold for $86k (with fees)... the car sold for above market price I would say.

i wd think so... having lwb is at least a 5 grand premium over sofa seats

thing about bat is you need tremendous patience with having to provide hundreds of photos, deal with so many questions, random/ignorant comments -- have to bite your lip a lot dealing with all this

as a result i have bought several cars from bat but i don't think i would ever sell one there

Well bought and well sold. At sticker basically. Enjoy! These cars hold their value very well.

Sold my 930 on BAT. Was a heck of a ride during the last few minutes. If you get a last minute bid they put more time on the clock. I think the final 5 minutes stretched to 20 minutes during which time the bids nearly doubled!

You can’t beat enjoying a car for 3 years and 9k miles for a minimal loss. The lowest cost to own for a GT car is no options but buckets. I would option a 718 GT4 like that but it’ll be hard not optioning it out modestly

‘I’m not sure I’ve seen any 4s with what looks like a CPO warranty (100k mile) sell for 76k anywhere. I did see one sell for 70 but it had a heavy Carfax accident reported which originally had a 94k sticker.
