Newer GT4 vs older 360 Modena

I've only got 2 1/2 hours in a GT4 and the experience was very positive.
If I only could have one for the next 10 years?
GT4 would probably be above most choices.
I like the handling / looks / reliability / light clutch. I don't like the nanny filtered experience, but such is life.
Cheers

I also own both cars. My 360 is a 2004 manual berlinetta. I agree with Gaxford's assessment for the most part. But maybe because I've had the 360 for 8 years and have already put 33,000 miles on it, I think I'd pick the GT4 if I could only have one. I would not bother with an F1 360 over a GT4. I think the experience at that point feels decidedly dated because you'll notice how slow the F1 is especially if you've driven a modern DSG/DCT. If you can find a 360 manual, with a fresh set of fluids, belts, and clutch, and an aftermarket cat-back system buy it, drive the crap out of it. When you're done, you'll have lived the experience of owning a piece of history and mystique that a new Porsche just can't deliver. People often ask me about the two cars and I summarize it like this...the Porsche is my brain, the Ferrari is my heart.

I've just bought another 360 6-speed coupe. Came across a nice example and it checked all the requirements. The experience of driving a gated shifter will leave you wanting and for me it led me to buy another 4 years after I sold my first one.
Not to mention, that the market seems to be having less and less of these available. When I was looking, the whole market only seemed to have 6~7 coupes, which isn't a lot by any means. So if you're looking for one, don't hesitate as I believe they are going to be harder to come by in the future.
Here's some pic of my first 360 before I sold it.

Gorgeous!
Just checked prices of these and wow, they seem to be down a lot recently. It appears to me that a 360 is about 60% the price of an F430 with 360s being materially cheaper than a GT4 and a F430 being maybe 20% more than a GT4.
Enjoy that sweet car in great health!

The GT4 was a close second but when you think about it, as a shopper for either a 360 or GT4, the manual 360 is scarce. And good examples are harder to find, not to mention the manuals especially. GT4s on the other hand are dime a dozen and will continue to fall in price for some time. So for the time being I’ll enjoy the 360 and find myself a GT4 down the line to enjoy.

i don’t think 360s are getting cheaper unless their conditions are worse than the comparables. These cars should be fully depreciated by now, and economy notwithstanding, unless a huge crash in the market happens, I think prices should be relatively steady. But F1s would be the cheapest configuration and manuals being the more desirable would cost more. But keep in mind the servicing and maintenance are just as important in the value these things fetch. Before landing this black one, I PPI’d a yellow one but as itt turned out, needed $15K worth of work to get it right. Doing all that would put you over $110K based on the negotiated price from its original asking.

Wow. I was not considering black (or red or yellow) but your black car looks amazing! I would prefer some sort of gray or dark silver or an interesting silver like one with a blueish tint (I really dislike plain silver - it is everywhere on every econobox).

I agree. Take a look at my first post. There were 87 GT4s on CarGurus and maybe 2 manual 360s. My count of 12 manuals in my first post was not correct because people listing on gurus are stupid and put down manual when it is an F1. You have to look at each and every listing and find a picture of interior to know for sure.
