If you are going to use the car regularly (more than 1000 miles/year and are going to track it) definitely get the GT4. If you want a garage queen to look at get the Fcar. Another option is to find a Ferrari 308-GT4 and save some money and maybe can get a P GT4 as well. Really if you want to compare at Cayman to modena I would compare an S model not the GT4 track oriented car.

But I love the look of both cars and prices are almost identical.

Here are Rob's thoughts on his F430 and 360:

All that is to say if you do get a 360, be sure to have enough to cover the incidentals. It would be less of a concern for the GT4 given that you can find them with CPO and they have lower running costs. I have driven and contemplated both at one point but would choose the GT4 as it's much more modern and checks more boxes than the 360.

The Fiat just look so dated, both inside and out. GT4 looks better, is faster, more modern and handles better.

Go drive both.
Ferrari wins with noise. They feel delicate. They feel dainty driving them. They feel skittish when pushed. You’re the Ferrari guy. Taking it to get groceries or a coffee. You’re the guy.
gt4 wins with everything else. Feels solid. Better feeling shifter. Ferrari’s is better looking. Confident and predictable handling. It’s just a Porsche. Make it a daily.

You seem to want (really want) a F360. Nothing wrong with that but it seems silly to ask GT4 folks to compare the cars when we don’t even have our own spreadsheets.

The Ferrari will feel more special then the GT4 if that's what's your looking for. If your looking for daily use ability and absolute performance go with the Gt4. Everyone saying Ferrari's are money pits in repairs is not true for all cars. If the cars are routinely driven and not garage queens they are very reliable. It's also important to find a good independent for the stuff you don't want to work on. The F355 maintenance comments can't be compared to the 360. The 360 is the first reliable Ferrari and does not require engine out services. I would however recommend a F430 over the 360. I've owned both a 430 and Gt4 for two years so if you want to know anything more just let me know.

Love the 360. I think it’s one of the best ‘modern’ Ferrari designs. If you can afford to drive it, I would choose it over a GT4.

Neither would be a daily. Whichever i get would be for weekend canyon carving and an occasional track day. Even though 430 is not the 360, if you have time, maybe you could summarize your feelings on the two cars. I would greatly appreciate it and maybe others would as well.

I had been thinking used GT4 (white) for the last year or so but a few days ago i randomly saw something on the web about Modena prices and then i became a little obsessed with the car (I knew absolutely nothing about it or other F cars). It just seems beautiful to me and it is same price (for purchase, probably not maintenance).

Default Ferrari 360 vs. GT4

BOCON, happy to share my experience with the 360 via PM. Perspective: I'm a former 997.2 GT3 owner as well as former F355 owner, but now driving a 360 Spider. Pictures added for sexiness.
FYI, yearly operating costs for a 360 are far less than $10K per year.

Interesting... I've been in the same boat as I have a GT4 currently... my dads old F360 has been sitting for sale at a dealership for a while. Been tempted. That said I can't see trading the modern usefulness and track ability of the GT4. My personal plan is to try to augment the garage with a classic F Car in the future if i can. 360 or older. Will see... in my case I like to put mileage on the cars... so Porsche will win that every time. Just too reliable and driveable. Ferrari I am sure feels more special though.

Go drive both, I think there will be a huge difference. I haven't driven a 360, but I do know many say the NSX is much better than the F355.
