In conclusion its looks like DMS has done a very good job in this design improvement, esp in order to better align the resonance peaks and troughs.
Good eye and the box on the stock runners from our math is for sound mainly...

Thanks fellas, and it's not that Porsche can't/couldn't do it, it's just they have more design constraints that we do, cost being a big one...

^ Jamie,
What mods are needed/recommended to go with intake runners if you have a stock car?

thanks,
Steve

The intake runners build on our existing power adders:

1. Race Headers: our design provides a stronger suction wave than other designs and is necessary for the intake runners to perform optimally.
2. GT3 Muffler Adapter Kit: The stock PSE becomes a restriction above 380whp or so and the car really starts building heat in the cylinder due to the restriction. Our kit also allows you to add cats back to the car so you don’t have to be catless.
3. Cobb Accessport with our pro tune
4. Intake runners/ IPD Plenum/ GT3 TB: The last bit after the above mods are done, adds power where the car needs it and shifts the resonance peaks up as well.

The total package adds 100whp at the rev limiter over stock
PM me for more details, you can do it a piece at a time....

Hmmm, why would I trade my Spyder in on the next version if I can do this? If I add the cats would I still pass CARB requirements?

Would these fit the old Cayman 987.2 DFI 3.4L Engine?

Fit I believe yes, but we will tweak some things to make them just right. 981 3.4L headers are in CAD, and the GT3 muffler will bolt to it. 987.2 is quickly after that. The plan is like this
981 GT4 complete system - done
981S/GTS, 991S/GTS complete system by end of Q119
987.2 complete system by end of Q219
987.1 complete system by end of Q319
718 GT4 is next after that, but all of those parts are essentially done, just have to test.

Finally done.. Wife and kids left me alone after dinner and I grabbed beer and knocked it out...
Expect 4-5 hours for install once you get the engine cover off.. If I were to do it again, I can get it down to 3 hours with ample beer breaks..

Not yet.. Too much slush, sand and salt on the roads with another snow storm coming this weekend.. Hopefully sometime next week.. Will fire it up tomorrow with the updated tune and check for air leaks before I button it all up.. Just ping me Rob if you need some help with the install.

Great work! I admire your ambition & technical skills given craft beer being involved : )
Did you have any difficulties with fitment or constraints, where you had to change stuff.
Thanks for posting the side by side photos of DMS & OEM runners, which nicely demonstrated the improvements in design.

Thanks! The install was not very technical or difficult. Just have to be patient and strategic in your approach given the tight engine compartment. I spread the install over a few days of working 30 mins to 1 hour per day. As for the fitment, it was OEM perfect. The new runners lined up perfectly and all the accessory brackets bolted on perfectly. Oh yeah, make sure you put a big comfy pillow in the trunk to sit on along with some good brew to help pass the time

Can I ask what these do exactly?
