Default IPD Plenum and sport headers: How much power?

My wife wants to "upgrade" her car, and the obvious tune hardware that everyone seems to look at are the IPD Plenum with 82mm TB, and a set of sport headers. She needs to pass emissions, so I believe Duodon headers are out of the question.

How much power does the car make in real-world terms with these upgrades? Will it be noticeable? She complains the car is is slightly underpowered, but that may have something to do with her other car, a turbocharged 450hp monster.

I have all of those mods but haven't dyno'd the car. The sport headers and tune made a noticeable difference especially after 3,800 rpm or thereabouts. I couldn't tell the difference after installing the plenum and TB.

Agree with RichFL....headers will make the most difference. With the new developments on intakes runners/TBs recently I would hold on the IPD just for now.
I have all the mods and we could measure some top end extra HP with the IPD/TB combo, you wont feel it...but headers are definitely the best mod.
Don't go with a OTS tune...get one done by one of the vendors that post here....I have BGBs Custom COBB Tune and John really when out of his way to fine tune my car
Power delivery and throttle response is just awesome. We probably did +30 datalogs to arrive at the perfect combo. John has extensive knowledge on COBB Tuning.

+1 on having John at BGB do a custom tune. Then again, I'd recommend him for all track related work a Porsche! No affiliation other than a very satisfied customer.

I recall seeing a thread about current work on improving intake runner design, but I can't remember who was doing it--BGB? Also, is John at BGB able to do custom COBB tuning remotely, via my local indy shop here in NY?

BGB can do a remote Tune...that's what they did with my car but I did it myself with John. It's very easy and you can do it on your free time.
The results are pretty impressive not only the power but the smoothness of the power delivery...He did a lot of work on the 3-4K rpm transition (when the flap in the intake opens) to eliminate the hesitation.
Intake runners are being develop by Dundon but if it was me I would hold any intake mod just a bit more.......

I agree with all what has been said, I asked myself the same questions when I wanted to really upgrade mine. Headers and Tune are the priority mods to really upgrade both torque dip and HP. IPD Plenum and GT3 TB are good mods but they would give you only a marginal 8 WHP in addition. I had excellent advice from John Gaydos (Soul Performance) who has also lots of experience in GT4 upgrades.

Wow. Did you see something like 380 whp? You didn't happen to get a before number using the same dyno, did you? Curious as I have a similar setup.

That's sport headers with the 200 cell cats? That would be my plan. I can't do the catless race headers in NY--too stinky, and not able to pass yearly inspection for obvious reasons.

Yes, right around 380 at the wheel. No dyno before the mods. My local shop in NJ installed everything and flashed the ecu with a ots Cobb tune. Went to ACI for a pro tune where the dyno was done.

Edit: yes, 200 cell cats

If you don't mind dropping a few dollars, I would do the Dundon race headers, Dundon over the axel pipes w/200 cell cats mated to the a GT3 muffler of choice (OEM or Dundon) and their tune (or custom).. That should give you a noticeable kick in the pants from 3K on up... The exhaust sound track will be epic!!!

Can't the Cobb accessport override the computer so youll pass the inspection?
