Default Shorter Gears & Rev Matching?

I've been thinking about going to shorter gears and wonder if anyone who has those installed knows if the sport mode/rev matching still works with the new gear ratios. It's not a deal breaker but it would be a shame to have to shift more and lose the auto blip....

Harry Catchpole driving Alex Ross Sharkwerks GT4 video talks a bit about that & shows it’s working nicely. Sharkwerks also running prototypes of a new 2nd gear along with the previously revised 3-5 set.

You can hear the auto blipping in the video ~ the 2:10 mark. The car also has a LWFW

Holinger 3-6 up here and no problems with the rev match. We have a Holinger 2-6 in process as well...

I'm one that has no problem with the GT4 factory gear ratios...reminds me a lot of the gear ratios in a Ferrari Testarossa actually and it suits the roads I drive on, but I would be very interested if you guys develop a 2-6 set where the 6 is a smidge taller than oem. Hoping to add a set of your headers this Spring btw.

So does the computer change the rpm that the engine will hold for the rev match or are the new ratios just not that different so that the original hold point is adequate? I would like tighter 1-5 and taller 6th.

Which set did you go with? Are you happy with it?

I went with shorter final drive from Autoquest with lightened flywheel and new sachs clutch. Car is dramatically transformed with much quicker acceleration. Feels like an additional 50hp is unleashed. Only small issue is lower top speed which I don't need

I'm wondering the same thing about the rev matching. Kind of think that without a tune it would be the same as before and it doesn't seem to effect it by enough to notice, but in reality should be reprogramed to be perfect. Then again, it's not like heel and toe is calibrated.

Don't they offer a taller 6th gear also, that would seem the best of both worlds. Good to hear you are happy with it. This seems like the best way to gain more power. I know headers would make the engine breath better, but it comes with the "downside" of making the car louder. It's already a challenge to get by the sound ordanonce at Laguna Seca.

Did you ship them your car or just the tranny ? good to know they have a taller 6th gear option as well as a strengthened 3rd.

can you talk about the issue you had with your car getting stuck in reverse? Interested to know what the cause/fix was.
