There are 13 on autotrader in Canada right now. That’s way way fewer than what was for sale when I bought in the spring - there were probably 10 here in Vancouver alone back then and prices were still msrp plus 15%ish. A little lower now but not much. Still cheaper to buy local versus import from US where you can buy at discounts. It will be interesting to see Canadian pricing of the new car as the previous car was priced low versus US considering FX at the time.

Maybe thats it 06C2S...

I think that in general the buyer on a GT4 is well enough off that to trade in & out of cars somewhat often is probably commonplace. These are 2016's right? 100 owners due for a change? Sounds like a low percentage in that discretionary income level.

Lastly, like me, you probably frequent sights & areas that have a good chunk of ownership for cars like that. If I asked my employees if they see a lot of GT4's for sale they would prob say "GT what?"

I am with MB.. People are constantly chasing the latest and the greatest especially when they have the disposable income to do so...

Because there's no cup holder in the console that can fit a Big Gulp like the 992.

I truly believe a LOT of people bought them thinking last manual Porsche etc and no ability to get one in a GT3 plus it was the hot cool toy.

I don't think 100 for sale is a big deal.

I'm not selling mine...I freakin' love the thing. It's a blast.

^ Correct, at least amongst my friends.

The GT4 was a legit competitor against the 991.1 GT3 if you wanted a manual. Its not necessarily against the 991.2 GT3 for these same people

I love my GT4, and thought about stepping up to a GT3, having driven one at PEC Atlanta. While I'd love to have a GT3 for the engine, for now I'm not sure the incremental money would really increase my fun factor THAT much for the type of driving I do (not on track).

Guess I should have gone for the GT3 two months ago when I had the chance, but I was questioning spending the extra money. If I had, the car would still be worth close to what I paid. I've lost far more than the price of a GT3 in the market over the last month...

I bought the GT4 because I seem to keep buying slower Porsches the last 5 years. Went from Turbo to 991 GTS to GT4. Not a matter of economics but of the little middie being exactly what I've wanted in a Porsche for quite awhile. If I get tired of the 385hp of course I can ship it to Florida. But I'm never tired of it out on the track, in fact, sometimes I wish it had 150 fewer ponies so I could keep my foot in it through Turn 11 at Road Atlanta!

Similar to me. I had a tuned 996Turbo that put down wicked power to the wheels (650whp, 675whp and 712whp the three times it was dynod). I drove it in the lowest boost setting 99.5% of the time and I do not miss the power difference between it and the GT4.

So to me, GT4 and GT3 similar enough experience that the money difference doesn't make sense (for me), although I do appreciate that engine in the GT3!
