Default Re71r load rating for rear

I just got off the phone with a tire store that wouldnt sell me RE71r 's for the rear of the car. 285/35/19. Told me the load rating wont handle the weight of the car in the rear??
I couldnt believe what I was hearing. There has to be a pretty high percentage of GT4 owners that run these tires. Anyone else ever come across this?

I should have just said I'll bring the tire's in by themselves...

Yes - I had order all set and then got call 2 hours later saying they cancelled it because of this issue. My mistake for trying to support local store and not just order from Tirerack like usual.

The trick with TR is don’t enter your car type and then talk to one of the friendly reps and if they ask tell them it is for AutoX.

They will sell you the tires if you tell them it is for track use and not street use.

The load rating of the rear tire Re-71R is less than the OEM tires. Liability reasons.
