Nose lift / axle lift GT4xle
Has anyone installed a nose lift on their GT4? If so, I would be very interested in finding out what product you used, how much it cost, details on the install and overall experience. I’ve not had any luck find anything online so far...
Thanks.

Yes I agree it’s not going to be cheap. KW looks like they may have a solution but I’m having a hard time getting a straight answer from anyone regarding compatibility with the GT4.

Look forward to seeing if you find a solution. I looked (briefly) and didn't find anything. Unfortunately I'm moving into a new place next month and there is no way the GT4 is clearing the garage ramp without sone decent life. Might have to trade the GT4 for a mclaren with 4 wheel lift....

I have a custom lift kit on my Cayman S. I had a West Coast parts company work with (at the time) the only US Manufacturer of a 991 lift kit. The cost was about the Tag price linked above. It required new Bilstein shocks that were converted to coil overs custom lift bladders added, used a JRZ top mount and Swift main springs (420 lbs/in) with helper springs (280 lb/in). However, the manufacturer and the parts company developed bad blood between them and, to my knowledge, the prototype on my car was the only one made. Issues in the prototype where the manufacturer did not have direct access to a Cayman to get the springs right. The helper spring was 3x too stiff and too short and resulted in a hard jolt on bumps. The manufacturer, a small company, eventually refused to talk to me. I had to call Swift springs and explained things and they gave me the correct helper spring strength (80 lb/in). Another issue then was the helper needed to be longer. Once those issues were fixed the car rode smoothly, but also was good on the track. The system was pneumatic based and the air compressor occasionally will not turn off (there is a tank and compressor in this system) and runs until the compressor thermal cutoff kicks in. Also the lift bladders at the top of the shocks can rotate, resulting in the need to periodically check and re-orient them to keep the air lines from wrapping around the bladder canister at the top of the shock. Once the proper spring length was obtained the rotation of the bladder canister became less of an issue. Unit is controlled by two switches that were located in the center console coin/ash tray area, an on/off switch and an up/down switch. Photos are in my monster mod thread on Planet-9. The compressor and tank reside in the front trunk, taking about 40 percent of the vertical space.
On the plus side, it is fast, taking about three and a half seconds to reach max lift, It also raises the car to just under 9 inches total clearance. I posted a short video on Youtube:

The baseline question to answer would be -- what makes the GT3 lift system not work on the GT4. The basics of the body and all of the hardware under it are the same. So why won't the lift system fit? Maybe that will tell the answer as to what would need to be modified/added on the GT4.

In my case, the Bilstein PSSM shocks had to be modified to permanantly attach the lift bladder. I would guess that the shock valve rates and the spring length and rates would have to be unique to each make/model.

I have an APR carbon fiber front splitter which further reduces clearance. So far angling the car has been OK but there'll come a time where the terrain will vary too much for that technique to work...
