Default BGB Motorsports | Another Stage I Power Upgrade in the Books!

We recently had the pleasure of having a fellow Rennlister's GT4 (evil panda) in the shop for our Stage I power upgrades. This is by far our most popular upgrade package for the GT4, which as seen in the dyno comparison below, helps to smooth out of the power band while increasing usable power all throughout the rev range!

Our Stage I package consists of the following;

- Cargraphic Long Tube Race Headers
- IPD Plenum
- 82mm GT3 Throttle Body
- BMC High Flow Air Filters
- COBB Accessport
- BGB Motorsports Custom Pro-Tune
.
.
Photos of the car, as it arrived. One of the most beautiful GT4's we've had the pleasure of working on! The Sapphire Blue exterior, paired with PCCB's and matching yellow stitching certainly makes for a stunning combination.

Once acquainted with this beauty, we dove in head first towards unlocking the true bolt-on power potential of the GT4. As seen below, our full Stage I power kit ready to be installed.

A quick glance from underneath to show off those fresh Cargraphic Race Headers.

And finally, Stock GT4 Dyno Comparison vs. BGB Stage I with Cobb Pro Tune, BMC Filters, IPD Plenum, 82mm Throttle Body & Cargraphic Stainless Steel Race manifolds. As you can see, the notorious "dip" at 5000rpm's has been eliminated, and power increases of as much as ~40whp can be found throughout the power band.

Thanks once again, Harvey for trusting us at BGB Motorsports with your GT4! We hope you continue to enjoy the new found power

If you'd like to also squeeze a few extra ponies from your GT4, please feel free call, email or PM us for more info & pricing!

The college graduates appreciate the integral and gains underneath the curve, the community college graduates like me appreciate solely the peak numbers

Solid results. Just wondering why the stock red curve is quite smooth but the blue curve (Cobb tuned) is quite choppy. Is that real or just an artefact of the data/plotting?

So much about the IPD plenum & GT3 TB not effective or not needed on the 981 platform... dyno chart says it all.

Show dyno with 'only' IPD and TB and no Cobb , headers or tune , then you will see what they are saying...

Wray, once again - thanks to you, John and the guys (and dog!) for a first class experience all throughout. the numbers speak for themselves and i can't talk about the results with the same technical eloquence that you can. but let me just say that i got what i came for, and then some. the sound is now truly special, and the car pulls hard throughout the powerband now. i was looking for a more special drive - like the previous gen Porsche GT's - and as far as i'm concerned you guys delivered it!!

the wife doesn't like the new smells coming from the cat delete, though. nor does she like my newfound propensity to drop 3 gears and floor it without warning, for the purpose of "testing whether the power gains are there", so i think i'll just leave her behind when i go driving. lol!

If you're interested, that dyno was from a previous install where I identified an issue with the fueling maps and the intake flap control on the Cobb. Since then it has been revised and sent out to anyone having the problem. It even existed in the OTS maps.

I was wondering about the dip also -- obviously even with the dip hp still stays slightly above stock at 6000. But I'd love to see what it looks like now that you've corrected that. Do you have a dyno of the current tune?

So with the revised tune the drop at 6k has been eliminated? Can anything be done about the drop at 7k other than adding the x51 bits? It seems really weird how dyno graphs for these cars drop so much at 5.5k (stock), 6k (tuned) and 7k (both stock and tuned).
