5w-50 mobil 1 in my GT4 with 500 break in miles and 30 plus track days and engine over rev'd twice at day 10 and day 15 to range 6 (not by me). Engine refused to die.

Too much consternation about oil. Just use the proper recommended oil and it will be fine
That's awesome - thanks for the data point. I ran M1 15w50 in my E36 M3 race car for years and many, many hours of use with success. It didn't make it survive a 3-2 money shift though...

I have a regular Enthusiast Durametric and it provides DME over-rev report without issue on my GT4.

Quite happy with M1 0W40. I've used 0W40 M1 since new in my 16+k miles almost 3 year old DD street/track "all season" GT4. I get a Blackstone oil analysis with each annual oil change. Thus far, absolutely no issues with the oil analysis including both foreign matter content (well within normal wear levels for a highway driven car) and viscosity (very slight losses after ~6k miles). Plus, there's this:

About 8,800 rpm depends on the car.

My prior answer was too low. Here's a little better answer:

Thanks for the reminder about the sale - I just got 17 quarts (2 oil changes + 1 qt for top off if needed) for like $105. Crazy cheap for good oil.

I just got my two $12 oil rebates from Mobil last week.
Took about 2 months to receive them.

Same - got 4 free IPA's courtesy of Mobil. The 50w also quieted down the lifter tick at startup (hopefully that's what it is/was).

Just got mine, to. Took 3 months. And I did the rebate on-line and opt'ed for the e-check. Still took the 3 months. Oh well. That's the rebate game.
